Why do you apply themes to your Windows XP machine? The default theme works also.

To answer both questions: We apply this program to change the way our clock looks because 1) we can and 2) we like the look better then the old look. I have put stickers all over my computer case and it doesn't make it perform any better but it helps personalize it.

And for the themes it's the same way. The Longhorn Systray clock is just a theme for your clock really. Like changing the theme on your desktop or changing your wallpeper. It's not useless. It's art.

I guess you could waste your time typing all that. Or, you could just say STFU LURKER. ;)

Cyranthus, you must have one bland desktop.

Besides showing the current day, will the calendar be able to support appointments and things like that?

The clock is C(win32). The control panel component is C++(WTL).

Cool :)... So you use Win32 API, nice, is there an ImportDll statement to terminate the default windows clock...

LClock doesn't terminate the clock. It just hooks into explorer.exe and handles all the messages sent to the default clock.

For the people that wants to help me test the latest LClock:

1.30a July 27, 2004

- Simple popup calendar.

- Interface change for control panel tool.

If you find any new bug in 1.30a, please PM me and not post here. Thank you!

LC130a.zip

ops...please download again if you downloaded it before Jul 27 2004, 16:40 or around the time of Savagearth's post.

Skin is planned. Maybe LClock will just use rainlendar skins. ;)

But right now I just want to get some feedback on the calendar feature. And maybe try out appointment, alarm features...see what everybody thinks first. :D

Impressive, memory usage is lower than before on my config with more features implemented.

Until now this is very good and rock solid work.
