pistons will win tomorrow and the lakers will rap it up tomorrow as well.

it will be Lakers VS Pistons in the final. now as for my prediction on the outcome of that series. Pistons will win in game 7

correct me if i'm wrong, but my predictions have been 100% correct since the begining of the Playoffs up to the conferene title..

Okay... It is here... Tonight... The NBA Finals... Game 1... LA Lakers vs The Detroit Pistons...

Although I terribly want the Lakers to lose, I know they wont. In fact, I believe if they do not sweep, they will take it in 5.

Remember, this LA Team was compiled with 4 great super stars just to win the championship... Although they had their ups and downs during the course of the season, they are doing what they were bought together to do... I truly feel we have not even seen them play to their potential yet... And I am also pretty sure that when they do win, Phil Jackson is saying bye... Then the rebuilding begins...

I truly hope the Pistons win, but I am not holding my breath... again I hope Detroit does prove me wrong...

I know we also have the Playoff thread, but the Playoffs are over.

The Finals are here, and although I do not want them to, LA will WIN.

Like I said, I dont want to be right and I want LA to lose... and I must say as I am watching the game and it is now the 3rd Quarter I am pleasantly suprised and I hope Detroit does prove me wrong!!!

Great gameplan by Larry Brown: let Kobe and Shaq do all the scoring and clamp down on the "role" players. And surprisingly, the referees were pretty good in this game. They even called Shaq for a 3 second call, which he does every single time.

The series is FARRRRRRR from over, though.

yup, good game calls today.. they were doing their post game announcements and they were saying the reason why they lost is because they were rusty, because they were resting for so long. pffft

yes the series is far from over, i just wish pistons, especially Big Ben would stop shooting those wild shots because he can't make THEM! sheesh, that was what i think 6 - 10 extra points pistons could have had if wallace didn't try and make those "good looking" shots. every basket counts, lets make em!

Pistons will sweep :D

I Am Glad the Pistons proved me wrong, I truly am...

but heed the quote...

and remember back to just 2 rounds in the playoffs, Spurs had a 2-0 lead on LA.

Also remember to 3 years ago in the finals, Larry Brown's team at the time also won the first game of the Finals...

I really do hope Detroit wins, more than anything I do, but just as the quote says, it is indeed FARRRRRRRRRR from over

    • I think the car analogy is more this: Left hand drive, basic commands on the left side of the infotainment screen. Right hand drive, basic commands on the right side of the infotainment screen. Granted, you're not swapping between the two often so it's doesn't really work. But it's to do with the proximity of you (your mouse, or the driver) to the controls.
    • I mean, the old one was broken and so stupidly complex for many users, so I don't see that as a feasible option. A context menu needs to be simple to use, and for me the Windows 11 style actually worked really well for me, and many others. I used to have to scroll the damn context menu just to get to "file properties" in Windows 10. That was not a good experience, and I'm sure you'd agree. What they're trying to do is make it the best of both worlds, as clearly you'd prefer the Win10 style. I'm curious how they're going to do this.
    • The "Show more options" has its place, as does the simpler context menu, but it should perhaps be a separate fly-out rather than relaunching the entire, old context menu. The old context menu was getting absurd in Windows 10. Often I'd have to make the context menu scroll just to get to "File properties" on my old laptop. Even without much installed, the amount of items was just too much. It's a context menu, not a "do all" menu. Making it configurable is fraught with challenges too, so I'm interested to see how Microsoft tackles this one.
    • I don't hate the new menus, I am not a fan of the lack of features and how they went live when they clearly are not complete. The menu itself presents much better than the previous - but what's lacking (IMO) is: 1) Any kind of automated manipulation such as: "this goes on the new menu because you use this feature more often on this filetype" "this is rarely used and will fall back to the old menu" 2) Any kind of user manipulation such as: "a UI to add/remove/order items to the new menu"
