This really is unfair, why should people pay (in money or otherwise) for something which is not even real ? (speaking in physical terms here..).

Gmail invitations should be free.

There should be a thread where invitations are given out on a first come first served basis, and you should only be able to post in the thread if you have invites to give out.

My invitation still is free, I just don't want it to go to waste and give to someone that is not even going to use it. This at least shows that someone is really interested in using the service by how much they put into their reason...

And as of now I have only received 2 responses so obviously not that many are really that interested in using it, I was one of the first 1000 invitees and my invite sure heck didn't just waltz over to me, I had to put some effort into it...

I realise that, but why would someone want a gmail account if they are not going to use it ? - well at this stage of testing, and relating to its availability..

Anyway who cares, I'm just a mindless drone who needs coffee!!!11!!!one!!1!!!uno!!1!!!juan

Just to see what the craze is about, they use it for like 2 weeks and then they decide that they don't want it anymore and then it goes to waste...

RE: G-Mail account

Hi.

I am a bit interested in G-Mail for the following reasons: I am curious to know just how closely the ads target the e-mail content, and wheather or not it really does seem intrusive and an invasion of privicy. Also I want to try sending mails from various server locations to see how quickly the system catches them after scanning (i.e compared to Yahoo and Hotmail).

regards,

DM

EDIT: Oh my am I an idiot ;) . I would delete this if I could.

 Sophisticated Beggar!

Ugh. All this begging is so pathetic. And for what? An email account? *stalks away, muttering under breath....* :x

Thats where you are wrong mate its not any email account its a Gmail email account, which is possibly going to be one of the biggest things to hit email since hotmail. And people are begging for accounts so they can have the advantage of getting a desired username before some other guy takes it. And that has great advantages ie on your business card i dont think [email protected] would look as attractive as [email protected]. I would speculate most people are doing it mainly for that reason. ;)

Yes, and I'm sure it's a great pick up line too. "Hey baby. I'm [email protected]. Wanna shag?"

Please. No one is impressed by your email address....

Agreed, it is the professionalism sound behind it, not too impress someone.

I wouldn't do business with someone with a GMail account. A little unprofessional to me ;)

I know no one is impressed but all I am saying is it gives the email address a certain edge of cleanliness. Im talking in terms of businessmen, when you are doing business you want to be as professional as possible so having a clean looking email address would obviously boost your professional quality. lol and that baby wanna shag thing could work too on nerdy girls, who wants to play CS and shag. :D

    • Yup, broke my comp… again. its times like this when I regret AMD. This just never happens on NV.
    • Huh? You're delusional calling the Steam Deck dead. It is so successful that it has sold out multiple times. Even after the price hike this year it sold out again with 24 hours of being back in stock. The demand is real and has not died down even after four years.
    • Same place "Unreal III" is, in everyone's thoughts!
    • So how much water is used in that "initial charge" and how often will it need to be recharged?
