In the 0.2pre changelog, there is this line:

added RealTek-8139 network card driver by Eric Estabrooks

Anyone know if this is for Win32? If yes, how do we use it :ninja:

Here's my screenie to contribute

I tested the lastest official release (0.1.2) in Longhorn build 4074, and it was really slow. The cmd windows showed up first, but the main screen didn't even show up for a minute. (It's usually instant on XP). After that, everything seemed to slow down exponentially. I couldn't get to the Mac OSX boot screen without turning it off from boredom.

I'm not complaining, just reporting the results of my limited tests. ;)

LOL, your running an alpha program on an alpha OS, to try and emulate another OS :p I don't expect that to be fast anytime soon :p

im trying to convert the 10.3.3 combo update.dmg to iso

good luck with that, if you get it to work and install sucessfully, let me know what you did. i have still not figured it out. (without using nero, although someone said that didn't work either)

There is a way sort of. The way I did it was I used Nero. Start a new compilation and select new CD-ROM (ISO). Then drag all the files you want to the new compilation including any DMG files. Then change the Recorder to "Image Recorder". Select burn and when the save box comes up change NRG to ISO and save it.

Would it be a very smart idea to install Linux in VMWare, and then PearPC in the Linuxed VMWare? I just wanna mess around with networking support :-P.

PearPC (0.2pre) on my Athlon XP 2800+ with 512mb of RAM allocated to it runs pretty good: the mouse is slightly sluggish, apps don't launch "fast"; but in an acceptable time. I wonder how "slow" it would be running in VMWare.

Can anyone explain to me why this is happening?

http://www.geocities.com/starcom826/untitled.JPG

I am trying to install 10.3. I've tried both 0.1.2 and the nightly builds. This is what happens when I try to boot off the iso disc image.

Yeah,

Geocities doesn't allow direct linking.

USB is turned on in the config file.

If I press F12 windows cursor dissapears so I presume the emulator takes control of it but it doesn't move the Mac cursor.

I can't get past the select language screen because of this.

Is there any keyboard keys I can use instead?

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
