Running Mac OS X on x86 PC!

Question

when it asks for cd 2, make sure it's not doing anything and just close pearpc, then change the config to point to cd2(if you have one), start it back up again and it should resume the installer from where it left off using cd 2. if you don't have cd 2, then do as they said and deselect all of the optional packages

I changed so that the config pointed to disk 2, restarted ppc, and I still get the same message:

I click on "installer" and then "quit installer" but nothing happens.. it just waits for cd2 :blink:

(translated from swedish: "Put in the CD Mac OS X Install disc 2 and continue installation. You have chosen to install applications that require this disc") :(

http://www.richardgoodwin.com/pearpc/ (under TEMP)

Use the included config, mod it to your liking. F5 to go fullscreen :happy:

EDIT: http://www.richardgoodwin.com/pearpc/fullscreen_f5.zip < Other fullscreen build is old, not up anymore.

Thank you, works great.

hey included in the new f5 fullscreen is a new config.example check it out

## PearPC Configuration File

##

## Resolution

##

## 0: 640x480x8 (indexed)

## 1: 640x480x15

## 2: 640x480x32

## 3: 800x600x8 (indexed)

## 4: 800x600x15

## 5: 800x600x32

## 6: 1024x768x8 (indexed)

## 7: 1024x768x15

## 8: 1024x768x32

## 9: 1280x960x8 (indexed)

## 10: 1280x960x16

## 11: 1280x960x32

## 12: 1280x1024x8 (indexed)

## 13: 1280x1024x16

## 14: 1280x1024x32

##

## The indexed modes are unsupported.

##

## default: 4

ppc_start_resolution = 4

##

## Refresh Rate (in hertz)

## (only applicable in full screen mode )

##

## default: 60

fs_refresh_rate = 60

##

## Redraw interval (in ms)

## must be between 1 and 999

##

## If you set this higher, PearPC will spend less time doing redraws (and so run faster)

## but feel less responsive. You should adjust this to your computer speed and personal

## preference.

##

redraw_interval_msec = 40

##

## Loader

##

##

## Boot method

## this can be

## 1. "auto", prom will boot the first bootable partition found (default)

## 2. "select", prom will show you a list of bootable partitions

## 3. "force", prom will load and boot the local file prom_loadfile

##

prom_bootmethod = "auto"

## Example of how to use "force":

#prom_bootmethod = "force"

#prom_loadfile = "test/yaboot"

#prom_env_bootpath = "disk"

##

## bootargs: don't change unless you know what you are doing

## machargs: set to "-v" to get a verbose startup

##

#prom_env_bootargs = ""

prom_env_machargs = "-v"

##

## This is needed if you want to boot Mac OS X

##

prom_driver_graphic = "video.x"

## This will adjust the position of the initial page table (don't change)

#page_table_pa = 104857600

##

## CPU Config

##

## Processor Version Register

## Defaults to 0x00088302

## Only change if you know want you are doing

##

#cpu_pvr = 0x00088302

##

## Main memory (default 128 MiB)

## must be >= 64 MiB

##

#memory_size=0x8000000

##

## IO Devices

##

##

## PCI IDE Config

##

## Drive type will be set according to file extension:

## .img: Harddisk (filesize must be multiple of 516096)

## .iso: CD-Rom

## Or you can override this by specifying the type via

## pci_ide0_master_type / pci_ide0_slave_type

pci_ide0_master_installed = 1

pci_ide0_master_image = "test/imgs/linux.img"

#pci_ide0_master_type = "hd"

pci_ide0_slave_installed = 1

pci_ide0_slave_image = "/dev/cdrom"

pci_ide0_slave_type = "cdrom"

#pci_rtl8139_installed = 0

#pci_rtl8139_mac = "de:ad:ca:fe:12:35"

The Mac OS X Software License Agreement states in Section 2 "Permitted

License Uses and Restrictions" that "This license allows you to install and

use one copy of the Apple Software on a single Apple-labled computer at a

time."

This was stated a long time ago. back on page...15 or so.
