Running Mac OS X on x86 PC!

a new emulator called PearPC seems to be able to run OS X on x86 machines:

well after taking out the # infront of the net card my dos window comes up and then closes

when mine did that it was telling me it couldn't find the network card. turns out i installed the wrong drivers.

so how do i fix that then

make sure you follow these directions, and make sure you downloaded the correct driver. also, open command, go to the pear dir, and try to run pear that way, so cmd will not close. then you can read the error.

We are a few that has the same result. I fear that the Win-net does only work with 10.3 (but I could be wrong)

Ok i manage to finally get working ppc, but now when OSX installation,com to select disk to install OSX

i got no disk there.

I am using 6gig.img from pearpc page. OSx 10.3

ok when i use disk utlity in what format do i have to format the partion journaled ,estadard or extedent?

KoL make sure to remove the # before the Network card in the config file, I had the same problem but got it to work :D.

i am running xp sp2 rc1 and used OpenVPN Installer v2.0Beta2 (2mb) is that the right one

Then I remove everything restarted, then install it again and restart. no luck :(

yeah, i am sure those are the ones you need. however, i am not using sp2, so i don't have those drivers, so i don't how well they work...

Go to network connections, right click whichever connection your tap-win32's running on, properties >TCP/IP > properties > tick "Use the following IP address"

set IP Address to 192.168.0.50

set Subnet Mask to 255.255.255.0

leave everything else blank, close the dialogs.

Tried that... still doesn't work :(
