Running Mac OS X on x86 PC!

Yeah when PearPC starts it recognises 256mb so I guess I got it right :-)

I've tried some other memory values and they all fail except 128mb.

I used to have a real G3 with OS X and it was slooooow without sufficient ram. If the OS X running in PearPC thinks it only has 128mb ram, it will swap to disk more.

Same with mem values... it wont load with the 512, even though i have over a gig of physical mem, but oh well... im still amazed that works, i wont complain too much about speed

It still does not work for me.

Using the latest version "http://www.kelley.ca/pearpc/pearpc_noarch-win32net-R2.rar".

I have followed the provided instructions and guides on this site.

BUT, I do not get a new card in OS X !

The TAP-card is working in Windows and PearPC does send data through it when I boot OSX. However, when OS X is booted and I:

1. start 'System Preferenses'

2. choose 'Network'

I can not choose any card. 'Location' is on 'Automatic' but I can not change the 'Network Port Configurations'.

P.S I have seen on some of the screen shots that some have a lot of options on the 'Network' page that I don't have.

Any ideas (getting very frustrated...)?

    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • I have disabled it, but the app is still taking space. I have a Mac and it is only possible to disable Ai on that, but I think that bit does get rid of the AI components after a while. What we are told is that we agree to all this when we use the devices as it is in the end user agreements, their software, they can do what they like. I doubt that any bill will happen in the U.S, the government there are in league with big tech firms. The E.U maybe, they seem to have some guts when it comes to tech companies. The U.K is not in the E.U, but some things still affect us. Our government is as gutless when it comes to tech companies as the U.s government.

One of the core libraries (cURL) has been updated to address vulnerabilities and a nasty linker error that was causing the need for a dedicated patch which could now be eliminated.
