OK for all those having problems getting 10.3.4 connected to the internet I have fixed mine easily. Just follow these steps.

1) Go to your network connections in Windows Network.Right click your main connection and go to properties. Turn off Internet Connection Sharing.

2) Highlight both connections, your main one and the VPN connection. Right click and select Bridge.

3) Reboot your OS X in PearPC making sure PearPC closes completely. Restart it and interent should work.

At least that is how I got mine working.

I don't think it matters. Best way to do it is try it. Bridging connections mainly just lets you go from one LAN to another LAN seamlessly.

OH and I could browse my other pc's on the lan easily by using that suggestion a few pages back.

Then go to the Mac, click "Go > Connect to Server" and type in the following:

CODE

smb://mycomputer/

Obviously, you replace "mycomputer" with the network name of your PC. Mine is \\Yorbamicro, for example. So I would type smb://yorbamicro. It's self-explanatory from there.

I just read something on Toms Hardware about an app for making programs that don't use multiple processors work faster on a P4 with HT by making them use 100% of the physical cpu.

Aparently, if you go to task manager and set the Affinity of the ppc process, uncheck CPU 1, it will force ppc to run on CPU 0 which is the physical processor. they are saying that HT splits your cpu up into 2 cpus, the physical and the virtural in task manager, and CPU 1 is the virtural processor.

They also said you can disable HT in the bios but you will be losing performance because windows xp works more efficiently with 2 cpus or HT so it's not beneficial to disable it just for one or two apps.

they also have an application, from the article, that will save these settings for certain apps so you won't have to change the affinity every time you start pearPC

Hey guys - I just finished installing OS X and I've run into a problem. I'm using - http://s87840517.onlinehome.us/pearpc.html - to guide myself through the setup process.

I did the following:

Step 13: PearPC will quit itself after the installation. Before you restart PearPC, go inside

C:\pearpc\pearpc-0.1.1-win32-jitc folder and open the ppccfg_HD.txt file with your favorite text editor.

go to the line pci_ide0_slave_installed = 1 and change that 1 to 0

Save the file.

And I started up PearPC, and it won't load. I see the PPC command line thing window, with a Partition loading area. I need to do the "BOOT FIX".

Here's my problem: When I do this step - Step 4: A command line prompt will appear. Run command "pdisk" (with out the " ") - I don't see any "command line". Here's a screenshot of what I see. If anyone can help, it would be truly lovely.

Why is this thread NOW moved to 'Discussing Mac OS'. It blatantly ISN'T Discussing Mac OS, but emulation for an application designed for Windows and Linux. What use is this thread to Mac users? None - All it does do, IMO is draw more 'Windows' users to a forum for which they have no base - probably increasing trolling in the process - could someone please move this thread to somewhere where it'd be more fitting?!

His guide isn't clear. Use mine

Guide

What you need to do is type in shell and press enter and then type pdisk. Are using darwin though? You need darwin for the boot fix.
