No, but that means that you downloaded the leaked ADC build that isn't quite the final build of panther. 0 eaglebtc
^^^^^ SilentPrey, use a little common sense here. I am assuming your current screen resolution is 1024x768, and that you're not running Full-Screen. You need to get the proper build of PearPC to do this---read the thread. When you're not in FS mode, the PearPC window itself has a title bar and a task bar that isn't used for anything unless you are using a CD. The reason the dock gets cut off at the bottom of the screen is because the PearPC window is actually about 800 pixels tall (with these additions). That's why it won't fit on your screen. 0 klop
It's now running well. I'm going to be writing some wizards, and other things to make this app "user friendly". My goal: a 4 year old should be able to use PearPC. The ugly dos console with the debug information is now in the "Session Log" area of the VM's page. I currently can't embed the PearPC GUI window in my application due to the way PearPC works :-P (I'm going to send the dev's an email, hopefully we can work on this). Here is the latest screenie, and I'm also going to put this on the PearPC Developer's Wiki. Wow!!! :o This is very impressive!! Really nice and professionnal! I wish I could make good program like that! :p Cant wait to see the final result! Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/165720-running-mac-os-x-on-x86-pc/page/89/#findComment-2186599 Share on other sites

It is still installing... So just you know how slow it is. 0 werejag
Can't be bothered to read 136 pages of posts spanning over a week at all hours of the day? That is true. However, only ignorance could cause you to make a comment like that. Hypothetically, even if only business owners supported Bush, do you think that none of them can be bothered to read? No, they work their butts off reading more than you probably even want to think about reading. Expand that support base to everybody else who supports Bush, and I think that you'll find that most people who support Bush do indeed read a lot. why dont you spend the extra 10 minutes you used to post your tripe to read the thread? ask your "ministry of truth" to read this thread for you! 0 Ridgeburner
Quick question guys, I'm using a router on my network at home, and I wanna have internet support in pearPC (mac osx 10.3) but whenever i go to enable internet connection sharing, it yells at me that 192.168.0.1 is already being used (which it is, by my router as the gateway) -- so I change the IP of my router to 192.168.0.2, and change the DHCP start and end (since you have to because the routers IP cant be in between the start and end IP's) so I went 192.168.0.3 - 192.168.0.51, but windows still yells at me because it cant use 192.168.0.1 since I started the DHCP list after that one. I can't assign static IP's on my network (laziness and pure unability cripple me to do so) and I can't run the internet directly into my computer (family would freak out ) any suggestions? 0 Ryan Hoffman
Tekmaven : When do you expect to release it? Hopefully I will have a build out by tomorrow. I don't know how many Wizards will be included in the begining, and it's still minorly* buggy. *The only bug I have right now: the Session Log output does not autoscroll when the app looses its focus (like, when your In the PearPC Window). Which way do you think it should work.. have a PearPC folder under the app's folder and use PearPC from there, or do you want to be able to select where do use PearPC? If you want to select the folder, do you want that to be a application-wide setting, or a VM Config specific setting? Blah, blah, blah ;-). Thanks for saying nice things about the app.. they make me wanna code more :D. Release plan for PearPCFrontend: Beta 1: Tomorrow (around 6-7pm EST) - Will work as seen in the shots, and won't have many wizards and help Beta 2: Hopefully by Friday - Will have mannny more Wizards Beta 3: 2 Weeks - Most (if not all) features and documentation will be done. This will be one of those "lets find all the bugs before we call it final" releases. 0 LawnMowerGuy2
Hi I just registered. I just started using PearPC. I got networking working. But I am having trouble with full screen. I have the latest nightly build (5/30) and I put in fs_refresh_rate = 60 in the config file.... when I try to load ppc it says that fs_refresh_rate is an unknown identifier. Any ideas? Heres a question for ya .. what are you doing for empty HD images ? Are you just asking the user to give the path for the HD image or your app makes the HD image for them ? Coz I just made this app using the python script from main pearpc site. Try it out and let me know what u think .. It works pretty good .. you just need one click and it will make a HD image for ya :) (the image file will be saved in the same folder of the program) Heres a SS and link for the program. http://s87840517.onlinehome.us/utils/hdimagemaker.rar Edited May 31, 2004 by Emon Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/165720-running-mac-os-x-on-x86-pc/page/89/#findComment-2189266 Share on other sites
