What the ... how did you get the Back and Forward shortcut keys on the MX900 to work flawless in FireFox?

It doesn't work on my machine for some reason ...

Got my diNovo set three days ago. So happy with it.

Finally got my MX900 charged full :D

bind them to alt-fwd and alt-back, that's what all modern browsers use as the forward and back shortcuts

Well the problems only occur when the logitec software is running :(

1) the scroll wheel doesn't work (to open links in new tabs)

2) the go button on the keyboard doesn't work

3) the back/forward buttons on the mouse don't work

if u find a fix for it plz let me know ;)

thnx

P.S.

I have no problems with IE

In the setpoint software, change the buttons to "generic button" and that'll fix the issue with firefox. This also fixed the inability to use the buttons in games.

Maybe this is an odd question...

But can anyone who has the US version report what the power supply says? Is it just 110v, Or does it say like 110-240? I'm tired of having things that I'll have to sell or buy some stupid volt adapter for when I move to the UK.

I just bought me a diNovo Setup, and i want to return it already.

Yeah she looks pretty slick, is smooth to use but the amount of hang-ups in its operation are unforgivable at $300AU.

I put off buying a cordless keyboard and mouse kit because i thought it wouldn't match the performance of my MX510 and Elite set up, i was right too. The mouse is downright sluggish in comparison and the keyboard will just miss keypresses during typing, in my view making it instantly useless. The cruise buttons stick on sometimes if they decide to work at all that time you start up. Easy fixed with the 52mb download of setpoint 2.22 you may say, but with a 28kbps connection i am looking at a 12 hour download, Yay!

The media program is a joke with no fast forward/rewind (let alone slider control) or playlist capabilities, and a lack of a backlight on the LCD is just plane stupid. The bluetooth Hub does not work with the software provided (some MS stack problem, i dunno i bought it cause it looks cool). A major heartbreak especially as i need it to sync my Motorola E-398 (moby phone).

oh and the pic on the back of the box shows the mouse on a glass desktop, hmmm, maybe i just trust my eyes too much cause the curser wont even on white laminate, so it is time to crack out that mouse pad that came with your 486i.

All in all, a S--t house effort by logitech

The majority of those things you mentioned are sorted with Setpooint 2.22. Can't you get a friend to download it and put it on CD or something? All the stuff like the bluetooth problems, cruise button etc aren't an issue.

The one thing I agree with is that the Media Pad would've been quality with a backlit LCD.

Hey peeps, ive seem to stumble on a problem with the software for the dinovo. Everything worked perfectly when i did my first time installation on setpoint 2.22. I wanted to see what it would be like to use the MS bt stack instead of the wincomm so i followed post #266 and updated the bt hub driver with those certified drivers. After that nothing worked so i decided to uninstall everything and go back to using the original wincomm stack that came with 2.22. Now i cant get the wincomm stack to install the drivers for the kb and mouse as it does not even detect anything. atm im using my dinovo setup with setpoint 2.22 but without the wincomm stack. does anyone know how i can fix this? I have disabled the ms bt stack in services.

Thanks

**sorry i meant widcomm :)

    • It does invite Linux because MS should have been improving their products all along these years instead chose to ignore the users now this year they’re making all of these improvements to their products where as Linux doesn’t have this kind of problems in fact it has gotten so good I can even play Windows games in Steam that I no longer ever needed Windows to carry on with my life, unlike you still use Windows and chose to try beat down down those who don't use Windows because they love their LG TV. (Surprisingly I actually own a 55” LED LG TV and it has been going strong for almost 14 years, longer than any Sony TV”)
    • As much as I love owning my own hardware, it's hard to argue with the value. I'm not a huge gamer, I'd actually be interested in a cheaper plan with limited monthly hours, or even a pay-by-the-hour plan.
    • Well, they (LibreOffice/The Document Foundation) are bitchy and whiny, yes, but they're right, at least this time. It doesn't make sense to market something as "free and open source to thwart dependency on foreign companies' software" but at the same time, using the formats of said companies (Microsoft) by default. That way, you are changing nothing, essentially, you're just using another UI. We all know that users just use the defaults and almost never change them. I'm not saying they should drop other formats altogether, but they shouldn't default to the thing they're trying to run away from in the first place. If you're gonna do something, just go all the way in, don't stop in the middle, IMO. Otherwise, shut up and move along.
