wow, we have a good soccer team? ok..

no you don't... in a fair ranking US would be between 30 and 40

edit: i think that the US only achieved such ranking winning games against countries like Nicaragua and such bah

one reason for US being so high is that the face pretty easy teams from north/central america. if they faced uefa teams, they would loose almost every match.

but, 8th is still pretty impressive though.

The US did well in the last world cup, which will boost them. I don't see why Spain rates so highly. They have good players, Exteberria, Raul, Victor, Jaoquin and so on, but they don't gel as a team.

Top 10:

Brazil

Northern Ireland ;)

Italy

Germany (they're a boring team but they get results)

France (did crap at WC2002, but still good)

Argentina

Netherlands

Portugal

England

Turkey

i'm sure all of you know more about what the rankings should be over someone who has probably watched all these teams play

The thing is this ranking really doesn't say anything, if the US plays against crap countries and win all their games they get a high rank, but that doesn't make them any better then some of the teams ranked lower.

Who cares about soccer...watching a soccer game is like watching paint dry or watching grass grow. Thats why nobody in America gives a crap about it. :)

So untrue. About 30-40% of my high school loves soccer. And once Fifa starts, everybody here starts talking about it.
