wow

cs2 is so ****ing sick :D i wanna see a nice camera version of that so badly :D

Just to clear things up a tad, that is NOT CS2, that's CS1 running on the Source engine.

Gabe confirmed that all (offical) HL1 mods will be and are being ported to Source, including CS, DOD, TFC and HLDM etc. Opposing Force, Blue Shift etc are also being ported.

Fileplanet just put up a huge high res movie of all the HL2 showings at E3, it's 665 megs.

eep... the shortest wait time is 109 minutes!!!

I'll tell you right now, anyone who writes off HL2 after watching this video, is insane. The game looks absolutely incredible.

And CS on Source looks....just looks, words can't describe how amazing it looked. If any of you download this 24 minute movie, you won't be sorry. CS on Source is the final 1:30 or so of it.

I can't believe they are going to port all the old games to Source - just incredible good news. Half Life 1 with a complete visual overhaul - mouth drooling, mouth drooling. It's like getting expansion packs instantly for old games - now hopefully we won't have to pay extra for these upgrades if we own the original, but we'll just have to see.

its hard to say what all theyre doing. we obviously know that CS is getting overhauled, but they may just mean that you will be able to run the others in the source engine. i would doubt that they will redo all of HL1's graphics and everything for this, but you never know....

"In fact, Newell promised that Source-reworked versions of all original Half-Life content, including Team Fortress, would be available "when Half-Life 2 ships."

Sounds like we're getting new versions with new graphics to me.

Watched this video this morning.

Well, lets just say my enthusiasm for HL2 has NOT dropped, and i'll be ready to lay the cash down at my local game shop for this the DAY it comes out!!!

I heard rumours that HL2 uses the Havoc engine or something, anyone know something about this?

Yes, it does. Havok is a physics engine that has been integrated into the Source engine. It allows for objects to be assigned a mass and weight so they can interact with the environment realistically.

Just to lay down a couple facts. CS Source is not CS2, it's merely CS converted over to the Source engine with redesigned maps. Valve does indeed plan to port HL1, all of it's expansion packs and a select few mods to Source as well. However, they plan on charging a minimal fee for it. If you buy HL2 they may allow you to download it for free off of steam.

    • I bought this game. Played it for an hour, and then got a refund from Steam. Not a fun game at all.

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets another hotfix for one of the game's online modes by Taras Buria Recently, Forza Horizon 6 players discovered an interesting glitch that allowed farming a crazy amount of in-game credits in a few minutes. Playground Games quickly pulled the plug on the exploit by disabling one of the game's online modes, and today, the studio is rolling out another hotfix. In my review, I complained about the game still showering gamers with cars, credits, and wheelspins. As such, earning money in Forza Horizon 6 is not a particularly difficult task. You simply have to play the game, crazy, I know. However, people still found an easier path to becoming a billionaire in Forza Horizon 6. All you had to do was purchase the Hummer EV, install a specific tune, shift in reverse while going at about 15 MPH, hit a wall, and get launched into the stratosphere at the speed of light. While mid-air, launch Eliminator and quickly get eliminated. Boom, the game just awarded you with a few million in-game credits. Initially, Playground Games disabled Eliminator to prevent people from farming credits. Now, following the release of the first balancing update, developers are rolling out a new update that re-enables Eliminator and gives users a free McLaren Sabre as a gesture of goodwill. Here is the changelog: One critical issue remains unpatched, though. There are quite a few reports of the game wiping gamers' saves, and developers are still looking into that. To avoid potential data loss, Playground Games recommends taking one of the steps outlined in a previously published support article.
