The feature you are probably talking about is Concurrent Sessions that was in earlier (Pre-Beta) versions of it. Though I believe they took out/disabled that feature in the current versions.

Good questions. I too, am eagerly awaiting SP2's release. I have the beta version, but I don't dare install it! LOL... For someone who isn't great (not bad, but not great) with computers, it would be suicide for me to install a beta service pack on to my machine. Then I would come on to this board, whining and complaining that it hosed my system! No thanks! I'll wait for the RTM.

Maybe we'll see some new changes with what is now termed "XP Reloaded".

MCE 2005/Tablet PC 2005 etc.

MCE 2005 is shaping out to be rather promising, it's going to include WMP10 and a few other things that might suprise ya ;)

Yup - using messenger from Media Cetner is kinda cool ;).

Someone said that MS was against updating DirectX in Service Packs:

I believe that the main reason for updating it in this SP is that DirectX 9.0b is considered a "Critical Update." I'm not sure what it was in 9.0a that was insecure or whatever, but since they're trying to focus on security, updating DirectX for the people who *don't* go to Windows Update is a good idea.
