Why try to tell others what to do with THEIR systems??? If I want start deleting registry keys and dip my motherboard in vodka I will, without regards to what you think we should do.

Vodka is good.

seems there might be a problem "BUG"  i'll wait to the final

The idiot who wrote that article needs to click on the info bar ( the tan/cream bar at the top of IE and allow whatever it is that was blocked then it would work. Im sure someone here can confirm, for you, that rc2 isnt blocking WU. I myself cant cus I havent installed it yet. :)

Still, why should a MS product block a MS website?

uninstalling sp2 is not an option for me.. you can't uninstall without problems..

Every SP2 build to date requires uninstall of previous build before upgrading. I've gone through 4 cycles each on my laptop and my desktop without issues. What problems do you have with uninstall and have you filed a bug for it?

I'm downloading now at 30kb's per second @ winbeta.

I have a question for those who are lucky enough to have it already installed....

Did you guys do a format/fresh install and how has it effected your system, is windows faster with this build?

Thanks in advance for any info...... I'm stoked! :D

This is pretty sad. None of the external testers got e-mails regarding RC-2's release. I guess NeoWin should be renamed http://ww.microsoft.com/windowsbeta

If you check the newsgroups which all of us are required to do, Paul posted the announcement just a short while after the link appeared.

Emailing all users take time, and in most cases it's queued on the mailservers while other projects are mailing etc.

Geez........can't anyone wait a couple of weeks for it to be released?

Who cares if RC2 is available, UNLESS you are a sys admin wanting to check it

on your systems BEFORE you deploy it system wide.

Why anyonw would want to download this, other than bragging rights is beyond

me. I even wait at least a week, when a SP comes out, let others screw around

with bleeding edge......I want S-T-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y

:alien:

That's very sensible, for a non-tester. Non-testers really should wait for the final, since there's bugs in pre-final releases, and they can't report any findings or get official help. On the other hand, I don't care if people install it and screw up their systems. It's their choice.

Personally, I see it as getting the edge on new technology as a learning experience, a way to influence the final product and enhance my own experience. I've betatested for Microsoft since 1999, and it's been a joy.

    • Well again I do not mind seeing it charge my stuff if it does it well. "yeah charge my phone like that, charge it good"
    • Getting so tired of this push for that new useless slop over the less-useless old slop that at this point I just want M$ to have this nice, big, hearty cup of *FU*.

With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. • Thanks Microsoft but no, I find both iterations of Outlook terrible nowadays and switched back to Thunderbird at home.
