Some days there won't be a single update for over a day - in several locations (e.g. home and school), and then suddenly 15+ news items appear from nowhere - some dated from hours ago. I'm pretty sure its not HTTP caches because the places I've experienced it are linked (as far as I know) only by the major backbone providors.
