Anyone know how can I remove "My Network Place" from my Desktop?

Right Click on the desktop

Click the "Desktop" tab

Click the "Customize Desktop" button

Uncheck "My Network Places"

...I bet you figured it out while I was posting this ;)

It would be good for someone to post a screenshot of what they have done to the registry.

I still can't get it working :(

I can't post a screenshot becuase it's the login screen before I log into windows.

Although there is a problem, I got it working for the first time, and now when I reboot my computer - it's gone back to default. It looks like the registry is reset.

You should know that I don't see a welcome screen as such, as I have changed my configuration to the login screen at bootup, I prefer it ;)

But as I was saying after the 2nd reboot/shutdown/hibernation the metallic reverts back to default (blue) :ermm:
