Baigley
Hey, i heard that there was a registry tweak to make the Welcome Screen (Login) Metalic.. Anyone know how?
DjmUK
I'm not sure of a registry tweak, but I do know that you can use a metallic theme (eg, taskbar and windows). This may not be what you are after - but just incase.
Maximus
If that's possible it would be cool, I'm curious to know now :)

PabUK Veteran Posted September 22, 2001 Veteran Share Posted September 22, 2001 Excellent tip, I never even thought about changing the logon screen theme before. Still haven't tried it because it means resetting though!

tomwarren Veteran Posted September 22, 2001 Veteran Share Posted September 22, 2001 This changing themes on Logon Screen seems like bull **** as I cannot do It and many others can't, if anyone has then post a screenshot here...

DjmUK
I can't post a screenshot becuase it's the login screen before I log into windows. Although there is a problem, I got it working for the first time, and now when I reboot my computer - it's gone back to default. It looks like the registry is reset. You should know that I don't see a welcome screen as such, as I have changed my configuration to the login screen at bootup, I prefer it ;) But as I was saying after the 2nd reboot/shutdown/hibernation the metallic reverts back to default (blue) :ermm:
crackhbob
Locking the computer and pressing printscrn would do the same thing.... btw configure: could you post the screenshot that the guy sent you?
