the AFC has suspended rezaei and badavi for two matches because they had a fight on the pitch and they shouted at each other. even though they are both on the same team (Iran) the afc suspends them. i think Iran should change federations :) , the afc has always been against us.

They SHOULD be susepended. The AFC made the right choice here. Just because they are on the same team, it does not mean they should be exused of thier behavior. Players yelling and fighting on the pitch is not acceptable and is unsportsmanlike, no matter if they are on the same team or not. This is not ice hockey (which is my favorate sport by the way :woot: )

the bahraini side line referees were sent home because of their performance in the Iran vs Oman game. they were clearly favoring an omani win and Iran brought this to the AFCs attention and after a review the AFC expelled the referees.

lets go thailand!

Sammy I am afraid what really happened was exactly the opposite of what you have just said!

The Bahraini referee was sent home because of favoring Iran in its match against Oman!

If the referee gave Nosrati a well deserved red card when he step on the injured Omani player (off the ball).. and if the referee didn't repeat the Irani foul without a good reason.. Iran wouldn't have scored the equalizer.

Also the referee took no action against the two Irani players who fought in the match although protecting all the players in the fields is a vital part of his pitch duties..

Omanis have objected and even threatened to withdraw from the tournament.. and the referee was sent home..

amm..sammy is a lil off..and so are..the ref was sent home..cuz of his poor proformance...he sucked both ways!

the arab players dove most of the game...and he didnt do CRAP about it..he shouldve sent the both iranian players out.,.thats true..but there were alot of fouls were he didnt call it for iran as well.

i really cant say he took sides..cuz honestly i don think he did..i just think he was a ****ty ref...bad calls for iran..bad calls for oman...and the last free kick..it was becouase omani players bitch..cuz they WALL wasnt ready...u cant really say he did that for iran..cuz he know they would score!!! cuz thats just stupid!

 For all you people that are cheering for Iran, it is very funny. Iran is one of the teams that is giving my girlfriend the most problems. This morning they gave her a BIG problem with air tickets. She looked ready to bite someone's head off. BTW, I was at the Jordan/UAE match last night and saw the king od Jordan!!! Didn't get to meet him though :(

lol..haha..yaap..that sounds like Iran allrite:P

anyyways...the game was a scoreless tie between iran N japan..and lemme tell you..WE KILLED THEM!

the last 10 min of the match..all japan did was to hold and pass the ball in their end..it was soo annoying that ppl starting booing them! and iranian players gave up after like 5,6 min..and we all witnessed japanese players hold the ball..and iranians were shocked and confused.

anyways..we shouldve scored at least a couple...Ali Karimi was the man of the match..and played really well.

our D was rock solid...and our golie saved a couple of dangerous shots...anyyways...now Iran N Japan are going to the next round

Iran Vs Korea

Japan Vs. Jordan i think

anyyways..good luck 2 iran:Pwoot woot! me goes 2 bed now.its 8am!

japan vs iran

the end of the match was really disapointing. the japanese were passing to each other in their own half the whole time. i dont think that this is considered fair play at all. but the pace of the game over all was pretty slow. both teams had a few good chances but generally i think both teams were satisfied with the draw. both teams looked as if they didnt have any more energy towards the end of the match, but i guess this is what you get when you organize a tournament in the middle of summer with games 3 days apart. other than the end of the game where japan looked like they didnt want to play any more, this game was a quality match.

the next match will be a difficult one. with our 3 suspended players and a game today, we will not have enough time for a full recovery.

Yes that was sad.. Soccer is about playing to the last second.. and to the last drop of sweat..

I don't know about that. China has looked good, but they haven't faced any tough opponents yet. Bahrain, Indonesia, and Qatar. Not exactly the stiffest competition. Tomorrow they will face Iraq, it should be a good test for them. As usual I'll be at the match and I'll post anything interesting that I see

So Guys... The Groups Stage is over..

Now we are in the Quarter Final..

Many surprises so far.. the biggest one might be the Jordanian Performance which will be tested against Japan next saturday..

The group standings and the Quarter Final Matches and Timings can be found here:

Ps. The West Asia teams are more than the East Asia teams in the quarter final.. but this might change in the semi finals.. lets wait and see!

Yep im in Tehran but tommorow im am going to be heading up north to the Caspian Sea with my family for about 3 days, then i will go back to tehran and seven days later i will be heading back to the kansas. I also visited Esfahan about 2 weeks ago. I have been having a great time except for 56k internet and the traffic.

Yeah Iran did it..

Jordan left the tournament with its head hold high also after loosing to Japan 3-4 in Penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw in the match time..

Karimi is the greatest in Asia.. He has developed alot since he moved into the UAE league and he started scoring with his head which he has never done before!

    • Ladybird Browser is no longer accepting outside contributions thanks to AI by David Uzondu The Ladybird Browser Project has announced it will no longer accept public pull requests and will limit changes to those made by its maintainers as it works towards its first alpha release. According to Ladybird's creator Andreas Kling, this is "not a change we make lightly," but the rapid shift in AI capabilities forced their hand. Previously, a massive PR implied that the person behind it put a lot of care into the code and is ready to "answer for the consequences." Now with AI, anyone can generate a PR without even understanding the bug fix or feature they want merged. The blog post goes on to say that the team is closing all open public pull requests immediately, and that maintainers will not treat external forks as a review queue for upstream Ladybird. Instead, the team wants outside contributors to focus on reporting bugs and running tests. Kling started Ladybird back in 2019 as LibHTML, a simple HTML viewer for his hobby operating system, SerenityOS, but by September 2022, it had turned into a full-fledged browser project. What sets Ladybird apart from the likes of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Mozilla Firefox is its totally independent engine, which does not rely on pre-existing codebases. The project maintains a strict policy against default search engine deals or user data monetization, keeping development funded entirely by donations and sponsorships. Generative AI is forcing open source project maintainers to rethink how they handle public code contributions (and the whole open-source thing in general). One month ago, a leak about the National Health Service (NHS) suggested the organization was planning to take all of its public repositories private ahead of a May 11 deadline, thanks to Mythos (an AI model that Anthropic believes is too dangerous to be released to the public) and its ability to find and write exploits for zero-day vulnerabilities. Thankfully, the Government Digital Service (GDS) issued a counter-report titled "AI, open code and vulnerability risk in the public sector" that stopped the shutdown by pointing out that hiding code does not improve security.

    • I like the show more options. The only problem with it is that it's not always in a consistent spot in the menu. If the copy/paste/cut, happens to show on top, then more option is the last in the menu. But if copy/paste/cut happens to show on the bottom, then more options is before the copy/paste/cut. But I do like the more options because it hides the stuff that I rarely use. But I would like to choose what it is or isn't hiding. That would make it better.
