Ji@nBing
the AFC has suspended rezaei and badavi for two matches because they had a fight on the pitch and they shouted at each other. even though they are both on the same team (Iran) the afc suspends them. i think Iran should change federations :) , the afc has always been against us. They SHOULD be susepended. The AFC made the right choice here. Just because they are on the same team, it does not mean they should be exused of thier behavior. Players yelling and fighting on the pitch is not acceptable and is unsportsmanlike, no matter if they are on the same team or not. This is not ice hockey (which is my favorate sport by the way :woot: )
coollee
So the main judge who was on duty in that match wasn't allowed to continue work in the following match. The AFC official considers him incompetent .

xSammyx
the bahraini side line referees were sent home because of their performance in the Iran vs Oman game. they were clearly favoring an omani win and Iran brought this to the AFCs attention and after a review the AFC expelled the referees. lets go thailand! VidER
Sammy I am afraid what really happened was exactly the opposite of what you have just said! The Bahraini referee was sent home because of favoring Iran in its match against Oman! If the referee gave Nosrati a well deserved red card when he step on the injured Omani player (off the ball).. and if the referee didn't repeat the Irani foul without a good reason.. Iran wouldn't have scored the equalizer. Also the referee took no action against the two Irani players who fought in the match although protecting all the players in the fields is a vital part of his pitch duties.. Omanis have objected and even threatened to withdraw from the tournament.. and the referee was sent home.. VidER

Ji@nBing
 For all you people that are cheering for Iran, it is very funny. Iran is one of the teams that is giving my girlfriend the most problems. This morning they gave her a BIG problem with air tickets. She looked ready to bite someone's head off. BTW, I was at the Jordan/UAE match last night and saw the king od Jordan!!! Didn't get to meet him though :(

Jordan i think anyyways..good luck 2 iran:Pwoot woot! me goes 2 bed now.its 8am!
xSammyx
japan vs iran the end of the match was really disapointing. the japanese were passing to each other in their own half the whole time. i dont think that this is considered fair play at all. but the pace of the game over all was pretty slow. both teams had a few good chances but generally i think both teams were satisfied with the draw. both teams looked as if they didnt have any more energy towards the end of the match, but i guess this is what you get when you organize a tournament in the middle of summer with games 3 days apart. other than the end of the game where japan looked like they didnt want to play any more, this game was a quality match. the next match will be a difficult one. with our 3 suspended players and a game today, we will not have enough time for a full recovery. http://www.petitiononline.com/iran2004/

Hez
This year China is the host. So China will win this year like Portugal in euro.
Ji@nBing
I don't know about that. China has looked good, but they haven't faced any tough opponents yet. Bahrain, Indonesia, and Qatar. Not exactly the stiffest competition. Tomorrow they will face Iraq, it should be a good test for them. As usual I'll be at the match and I'll post anything interesting that I see

VidER
Yeah Iran did it.. Jordan left the tournament with its head hold high also after loosing to Japan 3-4 in Penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw in the match time.. Karimi is the greatest in Asia.. He has developed alot since he moved into the UAE league and he started scoring with his head which he has never done before! VidER
xSammyx
go Iran awsome sportsmanship by the koreans it is funny how the AFC remains quiet when these things take place but as soon as Iran does something, they are quick to suspend players for the entire tournoment.
