GAL7 build now. The GA optimization compiles the code and optimizes it for applications running in the windows environment.

bangbang023: I got that spell checker to work with your nightlys.. had nothing to do with your build. What was wrong was I installed it from another FireFox directory, and while most extensions still worked this way Spellbound won't because it installs libarys inside the Folder you are currently using. So, the other FireFox I'm using had them but yours Didn't because I Never installed it from your build. Make sense? Anyway Now I can use your Builds full time :D woooo

Mine are optimized for speed and overall performance on Windows platforms running on a CPU which supports SSE2. The official builds are not optimized for speed, but for size.

.... how big is the speed boost for you people?

i personally timed both the official 10pr against the latest bangbang release, and found them close to identical. i ran the rendering test that was at the bottom of the page, i got same times both ways. dunno. i will just stick with the official release :)

My builds do not affect rendering time as much as they do load time for the browser.

-O2 optimizes for speed instead of size and GAL7 optimizes for windows applications running on the p4 or amd athlon cpu.

mk_add_options MOZ_OPTIMIZE_LDFLAGS="-opt:ref,icf,nowin98"

helps optimize more for SSE2
