MasterC
Macbook first, then possibly an imac later on lol I'd say that's a great plan. (Y) I started out with a Mini, and I liked it so much I wanted a laptop. So then I got the MacBook Pro, and liked it and its power so much I bought a Mac Pro. You'll get hooked and keep expanding! blachole
Get both! I did! Haha, I got hooked when I started using my MacBook full-time over my windows desktop. I went to the Apple store and walked out with a 24" iMac to replace my desktop. Couldn't be happier. PNWDweller
Alright - no pictures as I am afraid the desk is waaay too messy, but...this is what I have my system set up on: iMac 20" Mid 2007 model with all latest software updates. 1 WD Mybook 500gb hard drive 1 External DVD/RW in enclosure (Cheapo Lite-on) 1 Hp Printer (Deskjet F4235) 1 160mb Sata Drive in enclosure for my virtual machines (Salvaged from old Acer that commited suicide by keyboard decoder) Stock aluminum keyboard and mouse For sound, this is my "party box" sorta.. Classic 5.1 surround (currently not in that mode), Creative Labs system, with a killer bass sub, 6" and puts out more bass than some of the best cars I have been around. Seriously. I have the sub woofer running the left/right channels to a Nextech splitter that I got from Circuit City's last day of being open. I have 4 speakers hooked into that for my tweeters, essentially two at the pc, and two around the TV for when we watch Movies or Boxee from the Mac to the TV, the amp that powers the speakers is a 15 year old or so JVC 80w surround sound receiver. I know, I need to update the sound hardware, but since I had it collecting dust in the storage, why not eh? lol Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/146/#findComment-590911682 Share on other sites

DDStriker
@thefarewellnote how much was the dinovo edge keyboard? last i checked was around AU$350 also is there any difference between the original and the mac edition? or {inserts flame material here:} just costs an extra grand? :p ;) but seriously its a really nice keyboard can you tell me how well it reacts to input over its bluetooth connection? even at its rated 10 meter distance? I think it is amazing and reacts very well. The buttons are so soft and responsive. I got mine from PC Connection - it was only 99 USD with free shipping. Cheaper than I could find it on ebay http://www.pcconnection.com/IPA/Shop/Produ...htm?sku=8910471 The difference between the mac one and the Windows one is that the Mac one has the Command keys instead of the windows keys, and the function buttons all have little icons on them so you can press it and it will launch the associated app. I think it is well worth the money Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/146/#findComment-590956098 Share on other sites

BoJo
Yup :D In that case you probably don't need to learn them :) There wasn't anything specifically about them in January's exam, and you can always use a calculator. I should really start revising XD... Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/192078-your-mac-hardware-setup/page/146/#findComment-590956368 Share on other sites
