how do you know this?

Using the messages that appear on the site, a lot of people inferred that. "The Operator" said she'll keep sending out messages until the next instructions aare revealed. A theory that people came up with after reading that is that she'll keep calling those payphones at the specified times until we can fool her into thinking we are part of her crew. And anyway, we already missed some of the calls yesterday. We won't be able to figure out the whole story unless we get another chance.

Obviously the calls will continue. Who planning this would have expected all of the 2 necessary 6:00 am calls to be completed?

Jan and her father must be very important to the story. This brings me back to my thoughts about Kelly being related- Jan seems to have something unique to her that her father wants no one else to know. Plus she evades a military base's defenses and hides on a ceiling, but those just add to the theory.

Anyway, James James seems to be the one that burned down Paris23, as he did tell his daughter he would "take care of it" after she was tested at the police station. His identity isn't real, so I'm guessing he has something to do with ONI.

Durga is afraid of being stung. Is it possible that Durga is an AI based on Jan? Jan has something inside her that is supernatural, if I'm interpreting the .wavs correctly. Maybe Jan was experimented on and Durga remembers the surgery as being stung?

Also, Aiden helps get people through Earth immigration. Since James' identity is fake, could it be that Aiden helped him get to Earth? Aiden also deals in black market business... that might come back to the story later.

The connections will come soon enough. Which character is the Queen? Which is the Pious Flea? The spider?

I'm betting that Jan is the Sleeping Princess.

"Wide awake and physical". Someone has to wake up, maybe? The Princess is "asleep" in a way, we know. And Jan has something special in her.

Man, I should be outside enjoying the last day of summer vacation instead of this, buuuut....

Dana's aunt Margaret's last name is "Efendi", which is a Turkish word for "leader". Jan's name is short for "Janissary", which is a Turkish word for "soldier". Another definition of Janissary is a supporter for a leader.

Durga is a goddess of war.

Blech. I was wrong. Durga spies on Jan in one of the .wavs.

So nothing basically happened right?

we got a bunch of wav files which form a sort of story. its pretty cool. we also go these random pay phones that are ringing... i dont know much about them though. things seem to be coming together... information is being peiced together, and its getting very interesting.

It may be interesting but not really that helpful.

Do these stories have ANYTHING to do with Halo 2 at all?

My speculation is that Bungie is doing this to us just for kicks. The more I read into this the less it sounds like ANYTHING for Halo2.

Rumour of a Demo never happened and now phones are ringing all over the country (well not where i live in Canada). Fun game Bungie now please give us something useful...

this entire thing is ingenious...from a biz prospective it costs little and creates incredible hype (they will get considerable returns for it)...and it just creates so much excitement about their game...not to mention the fact that is fun speculating...i think we all realize that we are just amplifying hype...but it is fun to do so..they deserve it ;-)

In my opinion, i believe that there will be a "corrupt" spartan...heh

yes, i see. that spartan in the back is getting ready to nail the othe spartan with a shotgun. there has been rumors about human traitors for quite some time now. is this picture official (as in from Bungie) or is it unofficial (fan art). if its official AND from the single player campaign, then we can almost say for sure that there will be traitor humans in halo 2.

4 new coordinates have been added, but on a secret page. If you go to the links page, on the left will be links to different recipes. If you hover over the links and view the url's, you will see recipe1.html, recipe2.html, recipe4.html....

Obviously recipe3.html is missing. Plug it in and you get http://ilovebees.com/recipe3.html

4 new axons (coordinates), 2 of which are hot, thx to members of Netninja Beewiki. The other 2 i suspect will go hot tomorrow (Aug. 28th). More to be dug up about this game then.

What they mean are all spec so far. We are just given characters talking about characters.

On hives.html reads this:

Situation Analysis:

Waking up. Stay Awake.

I must compile a list of truths.

Assertions:

I am called the Operator.

I have crash landed.

I must determine the cause of the accident that brought me to this time.

I have undergone severe memory loss.

I must locate any surviving members of my crew.

I have built a primitive network using the tools available.

I must seek the truth.

I hear a jumble of voices in my head.

Conjecture:

The voices are in some way related to my accident.

Because of the damage, I am unable to accurately assess the nature of the voices.

By broadcasting the voices to my crew, they will be able to assess the damage.

Once assessed, the damage can be repaired.

The 'voices' are the sound bytes over the phones/posted when axons go hot. What 'the Operator' thinks is her crew is the people answering the phones. So this means that the next step is for the operator to draw another conclusion after the 4 new axons go hot. I'm glad its not 777. Something else could happen after the 777 are done.
