You're right. I'm buying the game, but I'm still interested to see how long it takes for people to get around every new method released.

Even if this game is playable tomorrow, Id is still going to roll in the cash. Most people don't even know about bittorrent, let alone IRC or Usenet.

Can't wait for it to be officially released ;)

Really, thats kind of strange. Read my previous posts. I'll take the word of sales managers in stores over "i called 5 best buys".

Well you call my Best Buys and tell their store manager to sell it. I called my two local ones AT LEAST five times each today arguing they must sell it as it has no street date. I even know the manager personally and was told they cannot sell it, or they will get a $5,000 fine per game.

#1 The $5,000 per game is a line. Typical Best Buy bull****. The TAO that best buy corporate sent out said simply "make sure you hold back enough copies to cover the preorders".

However, best buy has no system for tracking preorders, so most of the stores in turn pulled everything. You will still find a lot that didn't pull them though.

,Aug 1 2004, 00:25] Do you guys jsut not read the 60 pages of pure content that this thread has?

Belive me. It's not spam

agreed, there are alot of screens and tech info for problems that arise (i had them) ( i think i solved them ) (we shall see)

I was thinking the same thing too because it would be unfair to other stores who are waiting for the actual release date. If Best Buy was selling Doom 3 early then that would be less business for other companies.

I'm in NE PA. I only have two BBs around me, and neither will budge. Any suggestion?

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
