Doom III is out there! W00T!

Recommended Posts

was i trying to stop them? no. i just said to wait. it's only 3days away. 3days...wow that's soooo far away. i dont think i can live without doom3. omg omg omg

And why should they wait? Because you said so? You wait if you want, people want it now, so they don't have to wait. Just because you want it one way doesn't mean everyone does.

i've been waiting for years for doom3 to come out. dont give me crap about not being excitied about this game. i'm going to a best buy when they open on tues

some of you people are acting like youre 5years old. patience is a virture you know.

i just went to the voodoo extreme forums, the pic i did showing the my box and CD's on page 9, is on taht site and proof that the game was relaced, haha

its linked at home,colinptack.com or something

I'm excited, I just got a new PC a week ago, the old one was OLD a 333MHz, this is really the first chance I've had to play PC games. I've been playing America's Army but with no single player it kinda sucks. I'm such a n00b it's not funny :x . But I'll wait and it will be that much better.

Best Buy will sell it Monday night. They have some deal with iD from what I've been told.

I found the quote about releasing it early and id not caring

The official street date is actually August 5th in the U.S.A., but some of

your favorite stores will probably have it early for those of you who have to have it first. Check with

your local retailer for that information.

Takin from Hollenshend's official "gone gold" post on ids finger service.

i can see them holding it back till all stores get it on a "your store in bla bla has it and is selling it, why dont you bla bla bla " causing more headache.

also if i were a compeditor, id go to their store buy them out of stock, then sell them in my store, they would be purchased from best buy, but Early Bird Cash only in mine, lol, and id advertise it. lol

Guys, there is no rumor. I've talked to every manager of every major game store in the NE. EB, GS, and BB acknowledge that D3 has no street date, but for some reason BB won't sell it. My GS will sell it ASAP on Monday, and EB won't get them in stock until Tuesday morning. This, of course, is for my area.

Uhm, that doesn't make sense as a competitor ... Best Buy would still be selling everything, they can care less what you do with it afterward.

lol tha'ts what i was thinking. they made their money so why should they care what you do with the product.

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
