2) Many publications around the world are blown away by this product (PC Powerplay Australia, for example, giving it a "Game of High Distinction" award)

3) Next generation game engine. Based off id's track record, perhaps the game that will define all first person shooters for the next 3-5 years.

4) Because everyone else is doing it, and you wan't to be cooooool, don't you? :p

The second one is the only one HMV stock, someone on quakenet told me that you get one of these things with the special edition, but it seems a bit generous, and i have no idea how they'd fit it into the box

Well, the link was removed, so at the very least that's not a stamp of approval. Guess we'll see if there are any more "serious" repercussions. Still, I stand by my claim of indifference.
