Fist off I would like to say hi since this is my first post. I never have posted my desktop before but thought what the heck.

Silverknight, its bright i'll give it that. But your main flaw was the paintbrushed neowin.net on it. That aint good. Maybe you could try doing what you did with lights (shooting out from the center of the MS logo) and shooting out Neowin.net like that but you'd need a darker color for the "surface/top" section of Neowin.net.

But i suppose you paint brushed it for a laugh, because you wouldnt spend time doing all that with the background and then just paintbrushing (not even good at that) neowin.net on it.

Anyway thats my rant finished.

BTW, you guys aint told me what you thought of my wallpaper on the previous page, file name: Neowin_2.jpg

Please tell me because i want to know what you think of my way of styling. Im new to Photo Shop 6 so please tell me

it's not a joke but i know it's horrible.

it take me 15 minutes to do that with PaintShop Pro 7

nevermind i'm just practicing something and i want to know what i have to do to make better. Maybe i should test with Photoshop 6 ????

Nice post 2xSilverKnight, at least you can admit your work isn't that great yet. It really annoys me when someone shows you something bad and you tell them what you really think and they hate you for it. No point in expressing true opinions if the truth is not even wanted.

I don't think you need to switch to Photoshop though. I use Paint Shop Pro 7, been using it since version 3 and I love it. There is more than enough power and functionality in version 7 so work with what you have already got.

Take your time, learn away! Maybe next month you will be back with a kick-ass desktop! :)

And they have some difference between PSP 6 and 7 and it confuse me sometimes. Nevermin I use PSP since ver. 5

Yes, keeping the desktop simple makes stuff easier to find. I keep all of my shortcuts in the Quick Launch bar. I need to organize it as well.
