alright ill attach it. If this anyway violates a rule mods please remove it imediatly. I am attaching this on the basis that valve has clearly stated that they dont care and they dont care cus only the people ment to play it will be able to when they are allowed.

Wow, you didn't compress it or anything? Using WinRAR you could probably squeeze that file to less than 180MB.

you can't run it, there is key files missing or incomplete and it can't be played online. Besides one map yippe :rolleyes: whats the point, the retail release should be any month now anyway.

Sorry, but its odd that whoever did wouldn't compress the file first. But oh well, I deleted the file that I got from Steam earlier because its useless and just taking up space.

Nobody is. The file we downloaded from Steam is encrypted and cannot be played at the moment.

its just a preload, no actual gaming but its always nice cause then when it does come out you are that much closer ;)

I wonder if people have started playing it in the cyber caf?s though! We used to have one in my home town, and my mates used to know the owner, unfortunately he closed down :((

Nobody is. The file we downloaded from Steam is encrypted and cannot be played at the moment.

Its not encrypted........ I used GCFScape to open the GCF file.

At the moment all thats precached are the content files, ie the maps, weapon models, sounds. All the engine exes and dlls arent there till 12pm PST, when the Cyber Cafe owners get them so they can play CS:S.

For the people that got the preload: Does it show up on your games list as a preloaded game, kinda like CZ did when it preloaded a couple months ago?
