The cache files will be decrypted at some point today, but even then you won't be able to paly unless you are allowed.

It will. Preloading just gives you blobs of binary data, with the important stuff undecipherable.

Oh, I see. Yes, the cache is the same game and can be transferred. The only difference between Cybercafes and CZ/ATi owners is the validation.

Why should they?North America is obviously their #1 priority and to have to devote more resources to release a game in another continent at the same time as in the US may cause problems. I like the way things are just fine (though I'm in the US so it doesn't affect me) :p

Its been release for Cyber Cafe owners, Steam has gone mental with everyone preloading it.

Just need to figure out how to precache the rest

I know this isn't really Source related, but right now my Counter-Strike is updating at a wopping 25Kb/s; what I want to know is if anyone else can try to run their CS and see if it updates...And I see no news on SteamPowered or CSN.

No one knows till its cached, i have a valid HL2 voucher cdkey, and i dont think they will have disabled it......

ya, I had steam running and it wasn't updating dick all, then I saw this, tried the trick, wasn't connecting, so I altF4ed and now in the monitor it's been downloading for about 10 minutes now...
