"Lost" TV Show - Currently Season 2 (US aired)

This sounds strange to me.

I think that [the] question [as to what the numbers mean] will never, ever be answered. I couldn't possibly imagine [how we would answer that question]. We will see more ramifications of the numbers and more usage of the numbers, but it boggles my mind when people ask me, "What do the numbers mean?"

Especially as it is from

Executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse

Hey, I was just thinking... instead of a week, let's make it 24 or 48 hours. The reason being is that the thread will become a ton of spoiler tags since every week will give reason to cover up what we just said. Get it?

That's fine with me... the only reason I didn't say 24 hours was because a lot of people still might not have had a chance in 24 hours to have watched it. How about 48 hours?

i think season 2 will end in a cliff hanger, about the numbers.. seems to fit

Way to early to assume that... we're only on episode 7 of what 22 (first season had 25 episodes)? Besides that, wasn't the cliffhanger last season the hatch and the numbers, if they don't answer the question of the numbers this season, I have a feeling they might start loosing viewer ship (IMO) which wouldn't be good.

unless they take it right up to the part where they're going to say what they mean and end it.. then they'd be able to bring people back the next season just so they can find out and in the process hook them in with some other mystery.

So i taped episode 7, and when I tried to play it back the speed was all messed up.

So i went to a torrent site and started to download. 2 minutes later i put on peerguardian, and the thing spurred mpaa all over the place. Wtf?

I wanna see it so I dun really care, and plus I limit my upload to 10KB so its no biggie ...but still.

then maybe the

stick that was mentioned to be important in the letter someone posted a few pages back is a walking stick for him incase he goes blind again?

edit: oh yeah also did anyone else notice

the little boy who was pulled to shore by Mr. Ecko dropped his teddy bear.. the same teaddy bear you see being drug by one of the others through the forest when Jin and Mr. Ecko are hiding in the bush

  :)

586822653

yeah i noticed that too. i was wondering if they were the same person or if someone else had that

bear

or stolen it.

did anyone notice how mr. ecko acted exactly the same as charlie after he got abducted?

could just be a coincidence though, as they experienced different things.

586823386

Well Mr Ecko is a devout Christian and for 40 days kept silent because he killed 2 men (the others) , Charlie on the other hand was in shock about Claire and the fact that he very nearly died.

So, the "others" are  members of

the US Army

?

wasn't eithan from canada ontario though.. maybe the "others" are made up of random survivors.

Interesting

"So what have we learned? Well, as suspected, Shannon's father was the man in the SUV who smashed into Sarah, Jack's brokeback fianc?e. This was confirmed by a quick shot of Jack marching past the doctor who notified Shannon and Wicked Stepmom of Mr. Rutherford's demise. (On a side note: The ER doctor tells Shannon and Wicked Stepmom that Mr. Rutherford died at the scene. Yet, in the season opener, we see Mr. Rutherford die in the ER when Jack makes the choice about which patient to treat. Does this mean someone in the hospital lied... to protect Jack? The same way Jack wasn't willing to lie for his father?)"

"Anyhoo, we also determine that either a) Shannon was lying about her age, or b) the writers are asleep at the chronological continuity switch. Shannon is 18 in her flashbacks, but she told Hurley she was 20 when he took the census. However, Jack married Sarah two years after he ''fixed her'' ? but then the marriage ended, Jack's father killed someone on the operating table...at least a year's worth of activity. And Desmond, who met Jack pre-crash, said he'd been in the hatch for three years. Then again, Shannon was a dancer, and you know how showbiz people are with the age thing..."

And here's the kicker: When the group starts to ascend the embankment "Bringing up the rear of their little caravan were Libby and Cindy. Now here's where things get interesting: By the time they reached the top of the ridge, Cindy was gone, presumably ''taken'' by the Others. How did this happen? With Libby's help. I'm calling it: Libby's a plant. She's the Ethan of the Tailies' camp.

First off, go to the tape. Libby's the last one to interact with Cindy. And Cindy's carrying a large blue knapsack. By the time they've climbed to the top, Libby's carrying the knapsack. You're telling me she took the knapsack from Cindy and then proceeded to forget all about her? This is a ridge, not K-2 ? you don't just ''lose'' people like that. Also notable: Cindy hands Libby a walking stick of some sort, just before we lose track of her completely. As this handoff takes place, we see a cavelike opening in the background, right where Cindy's about to pass. And it looks as if there's some sort of shape inside.

But here's my best evidence of Libby's treachery: Tonight, she told Sawyer she's a clinical psychologist. Well, who appears to have designed this tropical house of horrors, according to a certain orientation video? A team of clinical psychologists, that's who. Coincidence? "

there's on thing i've always been wondering about...in the beginning of season 1, why did jack run out of the forest? how'd he get there?! and wasn't goodwin acused of "running out of the forest" too? And he turned out to be a plant. now, i'm not saying jack's a plant, far from it. but i still wanna know how he got there? did his seat fall in there or something, like with bernard??

Its interesting how they tied together jack chosing to save his future wife over shannon's dad.

We see Jack pass by in the hospital.  The head-on collision that killed Shannon's dad was the same accident that injured Jack's future wife. Remember a few episodes back when they had 2 victims in the hospital...Jack made the decision to let one patient die because he was too far gone...and he saved the woman.

I didnt see last nights episode, did I call this right?

when do they replay the episode anyway?

also...... Locke was on a wheelchair and got his legs back...... maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe Mr. Ecko was deaph? and got his hearing back? or maybe blind..... one of the two i think blind sounds better, cuz when ur blind ur hearing senses get higher, sooo it would explain why he heard the "others" coming when he was with jin

586820330

Possibly. There was irony in Godwin's name. Maybe "Echo" is the same.

yeah i noticed that too. i was wondering if they were the same person or if someone else had that

bear

or stolen it.

586823290

I would say that they've gone back to the beach and the kid has picked up the bear again.

That episode rocked. :)

"They took the good people"?

The coolest quote ever..as I think most of the people in the front section have done bad things, and then the others came along and took away the good people in the tail section as well. Kinda leads back to something like God saving them and wanting to punish the others or something like that..... but the list would suggest that God isn't exactly telling them what to do (in there heads or whatever, I dunno, I don't know how God works. :p), so its gotta be something more human in charge of them, leading back to the science experiments kinda story.

This show requires you to watch it at least twice so you can pick up on all the clues and cool stuff you miss the first time. I honestly can't say when a TV show has been so interesting and cool. I don't think I've ever watched the same TV show episode twice each week. I love this weeks episode "The Tailies" It's just too bad they rushed through the whole timeframe in one hour. It would have been cool to see more crossover effects.

    • I and many others did not vote to get out of the E.u because of Putin or Farage, we did so for our own reasons. You don't have to tel me what my own did or did not do when it comes to the E.U. The EEC is or was the European Economic Community, a different beast to what the E.U is now.The EEC was a mainly about trading, the E.U have gone far beyond that and as I have said before, is now more of a United States of Europe. The U.K did not vote to join a United States of Europe. Anyway, they did not want us in there in the first place, Charles de Gaulle stopped us joining as he claimed we didn’t agree with the core ideas of integration. He was not wrong and that is why we voted out of the E.U when the time came. I was not old enough to vote the first time. My only regret is that we did not have the referendum years ago and got out years ago. If we rejoined, we would have to agree to join the Euro and no doubt Schengen, agree with freedom of movement, we have enough problem with people coming over here as it is. i have no problem with people coming over here if they work and don't try to push their way of life onto us. The E.U has a currency, freedom of movement, an anthem a flag, a parliament, well they are there, not sure if they do anything. Don't sound like something that is just for trading. Oh yeah, also wanted a euro Army. How many stupid rules have the E.U made that we had to follow? I doubt I will see the Uk rejoin the E.U, which suits me. Oh yeah, my partner is Polish, she came over here before Poland joined the E.U and she got fed up of people just coming over here with ease, while she had to struggle. She is now a British citizen and have been for a fair few years

    • U.S. partially reverses Anthropic AI ban for Mythos but keeps Fable 5 off the market by Karthik Mudaliar Anthropic says that the U.S. government has finally allowed it to restore Claude Mythos 5. But of course, there's a catch. The rollout is again for a limited set of U.S. organizations that operate and defend critical infrastructure. The company announced this in a post on X (formerly Twitter). This does not mean that Anthropic's latest frontier models are back to normal availability. Fable 5, which was a tuned version of Mythos 5 for public release, remains unavailable. Anthropic said that it is still working with the government to expand Mythos 5 access and make Fable 5 available again, but there's no timeline. Reports from Bloomberg and Reuters say that this decision actually came through a letter from the U.S. Commerce Department. According to Reuters, this would allow more than 100 companies and institutions access to Mythos 5. Reuters also reported that Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s letter removes the need for export licenses for approved companies’ non-US citizen employees, as well as Anthropic’s own non-US citizen employees, while restrictions remain for organizations outside the approved list. Anthropic isn't alone with this kind of controlled rollout. OpenAI's newest model family, GPT 5.6, was announced just yesterday, but isn't available for everyone yet. In its announcement, OpenAI also said that access to these models is initially limited to a select group of trusted partners and organizations, with broader access planned later this year. Both of these cases show that frontier AI launches are no longer just ordinary product releases and more like slow and vetted deployments shaped heavily by the U.S. government.
