I just heard a theory that sawyers dad is none other then mr seabilly captain aka zeke...anyone think thats a crackpot theory?

would be weird if that was the case

Well, first off, anything with this show is possible :p But, I personally don't think that's true.

uhhh...didn't his dad commit suicide sitting on his (young Sawyer's) bed after killing his mom....

some of these theories are getting ridiculous....banghead.gif

here comes my biggest theory to date...Lost is all a dream like Dallas :shiftyninja:

What the hell?! Even though Sawyer met the guy in the face, he didn't click that perhaps this guy might be his dead? :\

Secondly, on his father being dead... well.. its not the first time people who aren't supposed to be on the island has appeared.. but .. yeah, not happening.

pc_madness you just reminded me of jacks dad...isnt he the walking dead....its like a romero moment...theres jacks dad walking around the jungle...maybe the others brought him back to life :|

Well, I would be inclined to argue that its just in their heads... but Kate saw the horse and was able to touch it.. so I dunno... maybe they can bring people and other things back to life? :\

Hrm, if he was sailing where is the boat?

On the beach? (well, he has been there for 2-3 years or something) "And then this guy came running up to me and told me to follow him... what was all that about I say? 'just saving the world'". Generalised, but you get the Jist. :p I think he says it in episode 2 of season 2.. but will go lookie.

Edit: Well, watching Desmond again,

"So the worlds still out there then?" - Ep2 (referring to the incident mentioned in the video?)

"It was 3 years ago, I was on a solo race around the world and my boat crashed into the reef and then Kelvin came" -Ep3

3 years... well, Jack first meets his future wife three years ago... it seems like a really long time....has anyone tried to figure out dates and what not for when stuff is happening?

About the picture of the balloon that supposely some losties find....

The guy that claimed to be in the balloon, how long he said they crashed there ? (4 months ?)

In this case why he didnt recover the balloon equipment and etc to make a decent hut ?

Would be the first thing i would do in the jungle.

I think he is lying.

that strengthens my "he adopted identity" idea...because as you said with the materials a hut could be made...so he probably saw the balloon in the jungle and bodies..buried them knowing theres a woman there buried her and dumped the bloke somewhere in the jungle and then adopted the fact he is a survivor of a crash

If, like me, you're not enjoying the prospect of another gap after episode 15, Maternity Leave, (2 weeks without a new episode, this time) heres a few reasons to hang in there!

1. The issue of what made Flight 815 crash is going to be dealt with in season two and definitively answered

by the end of season two. The plane did not crash by accident, it crashed for a very specific reason.

2. The Walt story will be resolved this season.

3. In future flashbacks, we will get more answers about Jack's past, and his tattoos.

4. We will get more information about the hatch and what's behind the magnetic wall.

5. We will find out more about Libby this season.

from E-Online w/Kristin: On Lost, did Henry Gale really tell the truth to Sayid?

I don't think so. I think the Wizard of Oz references ("Henry Gale" is Dorothy's uncle and the Wizard came to Oz in a hot-air balloon) were put in there to show us he was fibbing. And did you see that look he gave Sayid? Pretty much sealed the deal for me that Gale's Other-worldly.

    • Microsoft kills AI-powered history search feature in Edge by Usama Jawad In June 2025, Microsoft began rolling out AI-powered history search functionality with Edge 138. The idea was simple: allow customers to use natural language phrases and synonyms to find their desired history items rather than matching keywords exactly. Although the company had already rolled out this capability in a phased manner, it has now decided to cancel it. In an update on its Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Microsoft has announced that it has decided not to move forward with AI-powered history search. The company has not detailed the exact reasoning behind this move, but it has apologized to customers for the inconvenience. The move is rather interesting as it seemingly could have improved user productivity. Edge users wouldn't have to worry about typos or exact keywords, and just focus on what they were trying to locate in their browser history. Microsoft had also assured users that an on-device AI model would be leveraged for this functionality, and no data would be sent to the cloud. IT admins also had the ability to control its availability through the EdgeHistoryAISearchEnabled policy. When the feature began rolling out last year, many of our readers called it creepy, noting that they couldn't trust Microsoft to keep their data on their device. Others also questioned its usefulness, saying that it's simply a way for Microsoft to insert more AI bloat into its products. Although the Redmond tech giant had stated that it will be more mindful about surfacing Copilot features in Windows 11 apps, we later discussed how this is mostly a rebranding exercise rather than an actual axing of AI functionalities. Indeed, a Microsoft executive later emphasized how they want to reshape Windows for the agentic AI era. That said, it does seem like at least AI-powered Edge history search isn't a part of that vision.

    • Not likely, of course, that we will see routine citizenship checks as they only involve compliance with existing federal voting laws already on the books for decades. This seems a non-issue entirely. Only fools would have the government rush headlong into an AI program few can understand or predict, or even debug...
