what do you mean you can't decide?

its obviously Zeke & not Locke's father....if them looking different isn't obvious enough listen to the voices....

how can people be this confused about this?

Eh, nevermind, it was just a passing thought. Just didn't look like the M.C. Gainey I'm used to though for some odd reason.

My first reaction to Locke supposedly succumbing to Henry's mind games was that he was just acting. Henry had just got done telling Locke that the doors were thin, so obviously Henry would hear Locke's outburst. Henry's attempts at manipulation were pretty transparent; hopefully I'm right and Locke isn't that stupid.

Just thought the song selection was curious.

not really...

It is the same song that Claire asked the potential adoptive parents if they knew, in her flashback last season. She asked them if they knew "Catch A Falling Star" and the woman answered that she did, and Claire said that they should sing it to her baby, because her dad used to sing it to her.

who the hell is Mr. Friendly?

its Zeke...the guy we've seen 3 times at this point (taking Walt, in the Jungle, and now in this hatch)

i guess maybe that's your nickname for him?

mr friendly is zeke. got this from lostpedia: The executive producers on the show refer to the character as "Mr. Friendly".

i like to call him that because we don't know his name.

i cant believe how some people can be so obtuse. this episode had many answers, yet people are turning them into questions.

YES.. IT IS NOW REVEALED that the others are all part of the dharma initiative. ethan 'dressed' up amongst the survivors and we have proof zeke did also (his fake beard, beanie and clothes) - this REVEALS that the survivors are a dharma experiment, being carefully watched (as Zeke himself said).

also, i think the show made it pretty obvious that the teenage chick was ALEX.

AND IT IS NOW CLEAR what the dharma people (NOT 'others') want from the people they kill or kidnap... its either to join their team or get rid of threats that want to hurt others (see proof here).

so can everyone please ACCEPT what they SEE as fact, because what the show reveals subtly, is supposed to be revealed... why does everyone seem to expect it to be spelled out to them?... OTHERS = DHARMA!

well imo others = dharma is made clear, but we cant ACCEPT all that what we SEE as FACT because there can be many TWIST and TURNS and could possibly DECIEVE us audiences. ok enough bashing

too bad 4815162342 forums are now closed to public, there were really good stuff in there.

Im agree with that. I think too many people are taking it at face value, that locke has been influenced by henry. What's more likely is that Locke is aware of what henry is trying to do, and is playing along to make him think he has control. Also the book he gave him might have some significance, any ideas on that?

Well I thought Locke had hidden something in there but apparently not...

Locke did realise that Henry was trying to manipulate him, that's why he went outside the room and smashed all the plates. However he seems to also be annoyed that other people think Jack is in control (maybe he's angry at himself for letting it get like that). You'll notice in the preview to next weeks episode that he refers to it as 'my hatch'.

who exactly did Claire want to hurt?

considering they were about to kill her, going by your theory she must have wanted to hurt someone....

this episode cleared up a lot of stuff....but its still not quite as cut & dry as you make it out to be...

Question, sorry if it has been answered: Who is supposed to be writing that diary?

after watching that episode i feel sorry for ethan. it looked as though he really did care for claire and there was a certain degree of chemistry between them in my opinion. and i dont think that dude is zeke at all.

It is, here's his picture out of costume. Clearly the same game

Even TV.com says that was "Mr. Friendly" - http://www.tv.com/lost/maternity-leave/epi...44/summary.html

Yeh its clearly mr friendly/MC gainey...I thought that the first time I heard the voice in the episode and now theres been picture proof of lockes dad its not him...hehe...but I think everyone on the island has a family connection there somewhere...and just came to me last night

now sun is pregneant will they take her as well or is that research dead?

I suspect that the

research is dead. I personally cannot imagine them coming back to a place that they abanded because a test subject escaped. However, there could be another hatch somewhere that they could do this, we just have seen it yet.

My thought exactly, there are 6 other hatches we haven't seen, and this medical one wasn't even mentioned on the trainning video or on the web, maybe there are several of these since is a hospital...

I am still holding out for the whole "its nothing but a great big experiement" theory. No crash, no real flashbacks, all experiementally controlled.

Im with you. That or they were selected by their psychological profile, kidnaped and put them on that island.

Something that is really disturbing and annoying about this series its the all the time references, like the numbers are everywhere, the airline company everywhere (the damn oceanic airlines logo, Im tired of that and about the number 815).

I think this series will last, at least, 5 years more. :x

yeh you never know the other side of the mountain maybe this atropolis full of dharma facilitys...

i don't understand why people think locke's reaction was so strange. before he came to the island, locke was a weak willed man. he took abuse from his boss, got suckered by his birth father and mother and could not get past it enough so that he lost the woman he loves.

when boone dies in season 1, he freaks out to the hatch, wondering what he's done wrong, and that he's "done everything you asked." his main strength comes from his faith in the island.

someone pointed out that he DOES know that jack is calling more shots than he is, mostly because locke is "locked" into pressing the button. jack doesn't care and would stop, but it's his only concession to locke; so, when henry gale gives him a hard time about it (and how ODD that he would go that route unless he knew it was a sore spot), i think it's completely part of locke's character to temporarily lose it.

now, is it enough to start locke spinning? i think it might. he is a volatile man.

ripped

Before I even saw his face, I turned to my wife and said "That's Zeke!" She told me to shut up. (but I was right!)

"Your part of the family now"

Taking that literally, the people they kidnap join the family... like Alexi... she didn't seem to be like someone who had snuck into the base to rescue Claire... and does this mean that the "Good Ones" that were kidnapped from the Tailies have also joined the family?

I guess this kinda clears up any confusion about "the others" and if theres 2 groups of them.

Yeah, that must be it. I mean, if Alex was taken when she was born, or she was very little, then she doesn't even know she was taken, so we could expect her to be fully on their side.

But for some reason alex, who was aware of what was going to happen with claire, saved her. Definitely there must be other good people there, otherwise I wouldn't understand alex's action.

Another thing.. wasn't there medicine in the hatch (the first one). Desmond took some when he went away, but I'm sure he left something, right? It was cleary the same thing, judging by the number.

I wonder why this 'sickness' requires periodical shots...
