"Lost" TV Show - Currently Season 2 (US aired)

My guess from this episode, is that the "others" and the island seem to be related to the government or the military or something. The fact that they dress up to come accross as living in the "rough" whenever they interact with people on the island, when in reality they are smartly dressed, clean shaved etc. Why would they need/want to come across as this?

The the wayt the hatch wsa hidden undem them leaves, makes me think theres things lurking all around the place, maybe to monitor and watch them

LOL this last ep was EXACTLY like the southpark ep "It Hits The Fan" HAHA. Im sure everyones remember the "Night of a Thousand s*its" :D

Well, to everyones that dont watch southpark, there is an ep where the producers decide to increase their audience, using as hang the word "s*it". When they see the sucess on this, they decide to do another show where they say "s*it" two times!.

Here is the same, pff, a lot. And the hang here is not a word but a hatch. They resurrect the series at the beginning of this (practicaly terminated series) with a hidden place (yea, I know, the end of the 1st season they blow up the hatch and stuff).

And now they are doing EXACTLY the same!. To get the people interested!. With more stuff to 'discover'. Bah. The same of always.

I hope that the producers have a little of self esteem and end this show soon, because they are lacking of ideas (remember the Charlie owns ep??). They add a new 'the others' to the group, like they do on the 1st season. Everything is same but recycled. And expect more of the same and even more recycled.

They add a new 'the others' to the group,

what do you mean a new "the others"???

those are the same others we've known all along....just dressed nicer because they're not all fake jungled out....and obviously there's a bunch of them we haven't met yet....so i fail to see what you meant by this....

What an episode!

I hate how the episode ends with Henry Gale playing mind games with Locke to try and turn him and Jack against one another...

This is one of the more interesting aspects of the ep. Now we have a new twist to the story. I do hope this show has a planned ending. Jumping the shark is the worst thing a series like this can do.

Well, according to the writers they do and there's supposed to be a logical explanation for everything.

I think it is totally out of Locke's character to get riled up by Henry especially when he doesn't know if he is lying or not therefore he could be an other :/

Well, think about it, it is true that he lives in Jack's shadow. Locke got riled up because it is true. Then again that's because Locke usually works alone in what he does.

Just read a theory over at fuselage...

what we thinking...same logo and in that case underwater hatch is looking more of a possibility :)

I tihnk he was growing the two beard extensions for teh people he killed, then cut them off after confessing to someone.

And what was with Locke getting that mad? Hes way smarter than that, hed see right through that guy even if the Jack does seem to be "calling the shots", John knows better.

what was eko doing at the end?

what does cutting off your beard(gotee?) mean. i burst into laughter seeing that

He kept those two dreads on his beard as a reminder of those two men he killed when they tried to drag him off. Since he had confessed to the 'Other' he cut off his burden of killing them.

I too expected Locke to see right through his mental games but alas didnt happen. Sometimes the masters get owned at their own mental games ..

    • Microsoft kills AI-powered history search feature in Edge by Usama Jawad In June 2025, Microsoft began rolling out AI-powered history search functionality with Edge 138. The idea was simple: allow customers to use natural language phrases and synonyms to find their desired history items rather than matching keywords exactly. Although the company had already rolled out this capability in a phased manner, it has now decided to cancel it. In an update on its Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Microsoft has announced that it has decided not to move forward with AI-powered history search. The company has not detailed the exact reasoning behind this move, but it has apologized to customers for the inconvenience. The move is rather interesting as it seemingly could have improved user productivity. Edge users wouldn't have to worry about typos or exact keywords, and just focus on what they were trying to locate in their browser history. Microsoft had also assured users that an on-device AI model would be leveraged for this functionality, and no data would be sent to the cloud. IT admins also had the ability to control its availability through the EdgeHistoryAISearchEnabled policy. When the feature began rolling out last year, many of our readers called it creepy, noting that they couldn't trust Microsoft to keep their data on their device. Others also questioned its usefulness, saying that it's simply a way for Microsoft to insert more AI bloat into its products. Although the Redmond tech giant had stated that it will be more mindful about surfacing Copilot features in Windows 11 apps, we later discussed how this is mostly a rebranding exercise rather than an actual axing of AI functionalities. Indeed, a Microsoft executive later emphasized how they want to reshape Windows for the agentic AI era. That said, it does seem like at least AI-powered Edge history search isn't a part of that vision.

    • Not likely, of course, that we will see routine citizenship checks as they only involve compliance with existing federal voting laws already on the books for decades. This seems a non-issue entirely. Only fools would have the government rush headlong into an AI program few can understand or predict, or even debug...
