Thanks for the link :)

Have you done anything with the sounds yet? :D

I wish I had... but unfortunately I've been extremely busy with work this week. I'm the only one in the IT Department this week because everyone else decided to take vacation :p

I thought it was pretty good, much better than Ep18

The Rose story was pretty interesting, especially what the "healer" said to her about places and magnets etc, Kate's "broken goods" comment, Locke leaving the hatch, Rose and Locke's understanding, all cool bits.

Next Episode looks pretty interesting, though the slowness on what they reveal is kinda starting to grind on me a bit like Henry not being interrogated again and asked questions on Dharma/The Island infact the complete opposite, instead of asking questions then trading, they just want to go ahead and trade.

You expect there to be big pay off when you realise that they have an "Other" but nothing is really happening or nothing more has really been revealed

Yeah, like their previous interrogations went that well...

I was *totally* shocked to learn that Rose & Bernard have been married 3 months total, and only known each other for ~9 months.

Also, my thing about Rose's "faith" paid off... Which leads me to this: she is absoloutely certain that "they will not be found;" she is the first one to actually say it other than the Others....

I think Michael is lying about "the Others", why?? because there is no Others, they're fake, fake beards, fake clothes, just to play along in the Dharma game. Has anyone got screens on the stuff the healer got on his walls, I think there was a Dharma logo there.....

Ok then.. However, the thing you said about a dharma logo being on the wall seems appropriate can anyone post a screenshot?

Someone said Zeke might have been in the pilot.

I'm still not sure whether that's Zeke or not. But either way, that guy's hurt, so it definitely was just the actor being an extra.

but we have not seen any dharma

Maybe we have, but we don't know it.

I think The Others are dharma researchers, and they're doing an experiment on the losties. Part of that experiment involves dressing up, pretending to have been there for ages, and be very well organised and armed. Maybe dharma organised the plane crash to provide the researchers with new guinea pigs, just like they organised rosseau's ship to lose its direction, and gave the number signal to direct them specifically to the island.

I sort of feel sorry for claire, though. I think her and Charlie would make a great couple. Hope they get back together!

Your theory makes the most sense to me at this time. Apparently we'll find out what exactly caused the plane crash which might shed some light on things. It does seem like everyone who lands on the island has been experimented on as in taken away and not seen again, the 'good people' it would seem, according to the list Ana found on the dead 'other' when Eko killed 2 of them trying to take him away. Fake Henry also protests that he shouldn't be shot because 'he's not a bad person', or maybe he's just referring to the fact he's just trying to protect his people and means them no harm.

The children seem to be a priority as well, they took Walt, the tail-end kids and wanted Aaron for some reason, I wonder if it has anything to do with the research on 'Utopian society' mentioned in the orientation video. You could really speculate on this till the end of time! So frustrating!

agreed to that so many theories and I cant wait for the next episode to arrive it could shed some light on Michaels time away...also dont know if you lot know but S.O.S was lowest viewed episode ever so far this season...

"Lost" came in with 15.7 million viewers and a 6.6/16 at 9 p.m. It was not only the lowest-rated original "Lost" episode of the season but also down 28% from its season average.

well sorta agree with that didnt find the episode that good :pinch:

I did read in a podcast transcript with the creators that there would be a lull of not much exciting happening up till ep 19, after which 'it gets really good', building up to the finale where it all kicks off.

    • Surprise Execs are dumb. I hope the rehired engineers said were not coming back until we get 2x our salary.
    • Ford execs say they made a mistake when they replaced human engineers with AI by David Uzondu Ford recently announced that over the last three years, it's had to rehire about 350 "gray beard" engineers to mentor younger staff and reprogram diagnostic systems and AI tools that were failing to meet up to quality expectations. The company's VP of vehicle hardware engineering, Charles **** said that leaders overlooked the deep experience of veterans who survived many product cycles. **** admitted that simply replacing them with AI was a huge mistake, and that while AI is "a fantastic tool," it remains "only as good as the information you use to train it." The rehired engineers now run mandatory meetings to troubleshoot vehicles and reprogram automated engineering software and AI tools to prevent glitches before production. These technical specialists hunt for failure points before parts ever reach the plant floor, helping prevent the massive recalls and defects that previously cost the company billions as it aims to cut one billion dollars in expenses this year. In last year's JD Power Quality Survey, an annual study that measures the quality of a car during the first three months of ownership, Ford finished 10th among mainstream brands and scored below the industry average. But this year, JD Power ranked the automaker as the top mainstream brand, placing it above the likes of Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. Ford attributed this massive improvement directly to the expertise of these returned engineers. Ford's realization that AI cannot magically design and test quality vehicles without senior human oversight is just the tip of the iceberg. When Careerminds looked at companies that conducted AI-driven layoffs, researchers found out that 35.6% of those companies had to rehire more than half of the employees they previously fired. Another 32.7% had to rehire between 25% and 50% of them. In 2024, Sebastian Siemiatkowski, CEO of Klarna, proudly announced that its new chatbot was doing the work of 700 full-time customer service agents. As a result, the fintech company froze hiring and cut hundreds of positions. But by mid 2025, and into 2026, Klarna was scrambling to recruit human agents again because customer satisfaction had plummeted. It turns out, while AI is very good at answering basic questions like how to check an account balance, when faced with complex customer issues that require nuance, the thing usually resorts to the unhelpful, robotic corporate jargon we all know and love.
    • Free AI in IDEs is shifting to paid models Or you know, you could just learn to actually design and code apps, use frameworks to handle the repetitive parts and not use AI at all - and voila... free for life!
    • In a sane world US antitrust laws wouldn't even allow these companies to be in the position to be subjected to EU directives. As you say, better than oligarch nothing.
    • Apple reportedly has a second-generation iPhone Fold planned for 2027 Good grief, Apple hasn't even released a first folding phone and the Apple faithful is already obsessing over the sequel? Seriously people, go out and touch grass... because this level of obsession is borderline stalkery/neurotic.
