Anyone saw the preview for the next episode? At the end, everyone gathered at the beach and stared out in awe. Wondered what it could be? Rescue maybe?

Yeah... I wonder too. It's probabaly a cruise ship passing that doesn't notice them. lol. Or maybe they see that ferry boat we saw from last season.

^it looks like a timestamp

Any idea how to read the timestamp though?

Also, I'm having a dispute on avsforum whether or not the ? mark they found is actually they central ? mark on Locke's map. They're doubting whether the central ? == The Pearl. But I think it is since they headed straight for it and there was a large ? mark as seen in my screenshot.

The timestamps appear to be 108 minutes off, so those are just the logs of the Losties entering the numbers into the computer each time... That's why Locke got so mad - he sees that he's been entering them thinking they actually mean something or prevent something from happening when in reality it is just an experiment to see how long desperate people will keep performing a mundane task... Maybe...

Hmm, indeed, the right side seems to be h:mm, but what's the rest of it? It's possible it's mddyy on the left, but then what's the 06, 07, and 08 between the date and the time?

Edit: And I actually noticed there's a small ? mark above The Swan, so could it be that's what they stumbled on instead of the big ? mark?? And then that means there's even more hatches than what's marked as a hatch too.

What about that pneumatic delivery thingy. If it sends the thing to the Dharma people then there must be some control station close by or something to recieve.

Well, if my theory about them finding the small ? mark station is correct, then maybe it goes to the big ? mark station?

more of the same on this show.

We already knows about that Locke was doning (pushing the damn button all that minutes/seconds of his life). It was an experiment, and we already knows about this since the beginning of this season. And 'Henry' said that place was a joke.

To me the whole show is a joke. Lets keeps waiting for more non sence 'clues'. Despite of all, this show was and it is written according the rating.

At least there are 2 episodes left, well, thats what the CTV said.

One thing that was cool, was to see that Apple 2e behind :p

EDIT

and at the moment that Locke seems 'cured' appears another schizophrenic to do the 'job'. Eko, where he hides his dementia with faith. The dynamic duo. While Hurly is in the background and now Libby is dead, so. The only nuts on the island are Locke and Eko (and why not Michael? with his 'cliche' "They take my son") .Welcome to the wonderful world of a mental institute. Where the ppl that is not nuts, have killed at least someone on their past or are just junkies recovering. Good show!

Not to be a dick, but.....english please....

i hope it ends this season. it seems really tedious from the wait and flashbacks, and not much action is really happening, just questions being answered. it was a revealing episode, but i wouldnt rate it high

It was a good episode. But, I think that the "Pearl" statios is just another psych experiment. Overall the only thing I haven't liked about the season is they killed of Ana Lucia, and Libby. Can't wait for next week's episode

I find it quite interesting how there seems to be a distinction and parallels being drawn between elements in the Island...

One of the Others (Henry Gale) tries to shake Lockes faith to make him STOP pushing the button

The Island tries to get Locke to get Lockes faith back and push the button again by showing Eko dreams

This could lead to the conclusion that the Others are'nt Dharma, they don't want the Losties to do what the island has told them.

Could they be the good guys?

Another interesting I noticed is that in the first Dharma video it said that failure to push the button will result in an 'incident', now why would one of the others try and convince the Locke to NOT push the button if there really was going to be an 'incident' that could harm the others and the losties.

Yeah, I don't think that the Others work for Dharma, maybe the did, in some point in the're life. But from what they have shown on the sites (thehansofundation, sublymonal), it looks like Dharma does some nasty things. So maybe the Others are like green peace, or rebel Dharma

    • Surprise Execs are dumb. I hope the rehired engineers said were not coming back until we get 2x our salary.
    • Ford execs say they made a mistake when they replaced human engineers with AI by David Uzondu Ford recently announced that over the last three years, it's had to rehire about 350 "gray beard" engineers to mentor younger staff and reprogram diagnostic systems and AI tools that were failing to meet up to quality expectations. The company's VP of vehicle hardware engineering, Charles **** said that leaders overlooked the deep experience of veterans who survived many product cycles. **** admitted that simply replacing them with AI was a huge mistake, and that while AI is "a fantastic tool," it remains "only as good as the information you use to train it." The rehired engineers now run mandatory meetings to troubleshoot vehicles and reprogram automated engineering software and AI tools to prevent glitches before production. These technical specialists hunt for failure points before parts ever reach the plant floor, helping prevent the massive recalls and defects that previously cost the company billions as it aims to cut one billion dollars in expenses this year. In last year's JD Power Quality Survey, an annual study that measures the quality of a car during the first three months of ownership, Ford finished 10th among mainstream brands and scored below the industry average. But this year, JD Power ranked the automaker as the top mainstream brand, placing it above the likes of Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. Ford attributed this massive improvement directly to the expertise of these returned engineers. Ford's realization that AI cannot magically design and test quality vehicles without senior human oversight is just the tip of the iceberg. When Careerminds looked at companies that conducted AI-driven layoffs, researchers found out that 35.6% of those companies had to rehire more than half of the employees they previously fired. Another 32.7% had to rehire between 25% and 50% of them. In 2024, Sebastian Siemiatkowski, CEO of Klarna, proudly announced that its new chatbot was doing the work of 700 full-time customer service agents. As a result, the fintech company froze hiring and cut hundreds of positions. But by mid 2025, and into 2026, Klarna was scrambling to recruit human agents again because customer satisfaction had plummeted. It turns out, while AI is very good at answering basic questions like how to check an account balance, when faced with complex customer issues that require nuance, the thing usually resorts to the unhelpful, robotic corporate jargon we all know and love.
    • Free AI in IDEs is shifting to paid models Or you know, you could just learn to actually design and code apps, use frameworks to handle the repetitive parts and not use AI at all - and voila... free for life!
    • In a sane world US antitrust laws wouldn't even allow these companies to be in the position to be subjected to EU directives. As you say, better than oligarch nothing.
    • Apple reportedly has a second-generation iPhone Fold planned for 2027 Good grief, Apple hasn't even released a first folding phone and the Apple faithful is already obsessing over the sequel? Seriously people, go out and touch grass... because this level of obsession is borderline stalkery/neurotic.
