"Lost" TV Show - Currently Season 2 (US aired)

If Charley was at the BOTTOM of the shaft and that metal door has to weigh at least 20 lbs and it's at the TOP of the hatch, there's NO way Charlie could have survived the dynamite blow as that door had gone up hundreds of feet...not to mention it was not even on top of the hatch, but off to the side (when Mr. Eko climbed out earlier in the episode). Also, there were several minutes between the dynamite and the white flash. It would have had to go up thousands and thousands of feet.

It must have been somesort of electromagnetic pulse that forced it so high into the sky I think.

the door flew away due to the dynamite explosion. Had nothing to do with emp.

The door wasnt anywhere near the opening, it was out the side. The explosion would not be able to have forced it that high in the air.

"We're the good people.." just don't make sense! Ack, season3, season3, season3..

Well, it is easy to think yourself as "good," especially if you basically have been brainwashed into a belief. The question is what others think of you.

Yar, was most certainly the Electromagnetism.

Never mind the smoke monster , what about the Polar Bears !??!

I'm actually waiting for whatever else is out there. The French Chick said.. "if we're lucky, its probably just one of the bears", implying that theres something else out there.. (I'm assuming other than the Smoke of course)

I never watch this show but somebody tell me how more people get on an abandoned island? i know it's probably posted here already.

More people? As in the tailies? Or the plane as a whole? The plane as a whole was most likely because of the magnetism... and the tailies were people who we thought died in the plane crash, but in fact survived. If your talking about the Others.. dunno then!

Something came to my mind:

When desmond left in epsiode 3 (season 2), he didn't take his book with him. Anyway, right when he leaves, jack sees the picture of desmond with penelope! And you can see desmond is reading a book called "the third policemen".

I know this is old news, but hey, in the finale it seemed that desmod took the book with him everywhere (he even attached it to his body!!!) and now all of the sudden he leaves the hatch and leaves the book there?'

That was an amazing episode. We were given so much information I cant even remember it all! They cant kill of Locke or Eko though as they are some of my favourite characters.

Michael is a bit of a bitch with the whole "they took my sooooooooooonnnnnnnnn!", it's getting kind of annoying and he killed two people and betrayed his friends just to get Walt back. He could of just waited or thought it through a bit more. It also looks like Henry is the leader of The Others? It was nice when Charlie and Claire kissed at the end as well :p!

Heart stopping stuff anyway, I cant wait until Season 3!

I'm still really confused about a lot of stuff though

EDIT: They should really make a book of LOST, I like reading books :p!

So what was the deal with Kelvin (the guy that wears that hazmat suit, whatever his name is)? He seems to know that pushing the button is important, but then why lead Desmond outside and suggest that they leave if he knows they NEED to push the button?

He didn't lead Desmond outside, Desmond decided to follow him after seeing that his suit had a tear in it. It must have made him suspicious to how Kelvin could still be healthy after being "exposed" so often.

Who? (HOT female)

Hey anyone think Fenry intentionally got him caught by the French woman? And, what happened to her?

I think the French Lady made a deal with Henry to setup the "capture" in exchange for reuniting with her daughter (which I think we all agree is the young gal with the Others).

There is no way that much dynamite would have had teh force to project the hatch door so far in teh air it remained up there for as long as it did. Remember the explosion and Desmond turning the key did not happen in immediate succession..

ok i am really suprised no one has even thought that the hatch door might not of been their hatch door. its a door with no distinguishing marks, so whos to say its not from another hatch near by or a hatch for where the EMP was being built up.

I am pretty sure I saw "quarantine" stenciled on the side of it? Maybe some screen shots can clear that up.

ahh any ideas when they will start series 3! I really wanna find out what happens to Locke and Eko!

Well i dont think it was as bad (cliffhanger) as series 1 haha :p

(Oh and desmond didnt take the book with him because it was in the book shelf all along as otherwise Desmond would have taken it somewhere from the beach but he got it out the bookshelf in the hatch)

yeah but they've never actually seen any of the other hatches, hatches. You've just seen doors, any of those other hatches on the map could say quarantine. its not definitive enough for me :) . Cause charlie seemed to "ok" with it, at the end

It most certainly is. It's scorched the same way as when Eko looked at it and when we've seen it before.

    • AltSendme 0.4.2 is out.
    • Simple answer is yes, you will still get the Windows updates and as long as browser is up to date, you will be good. Only thing secure boot does is protect you against boot level threats and make it harder to install other OS's. I've been looking into this pretty thoroughly lately myself as wifes computer has secure boot disabled plus my other, older computers that run Linux, don't have secure boot enabled. Have seen all kinds of questions about this on the Linux Mint and MX Linux forums. Just don't suddenly enable secure boot now.

    • AltSendme 0.4.2 by Razvan Serea AltSendme is a minimal, cross-platform application designed for fast, secure, and private peer-to-peer file transfers. It allows users to send files or entire directories directly between devices without relying on cloud servers, accounts, or any personal information. Everything is encrypted end-to-end using modern protocols like QUIC and TLS 1.3, ensuring both strong security and low-latency performance. Transfers are verified with BLAKE3 for data integrity, and interrupted downloads automatically resume, making the experience reliable even on unstable connections. You can transfer anything—images, videos, documents, and more. Integrity checks are performed on both ends, so your files are automatically verified for correctness during both sending and receiving. AltSendme works seamlessly across local networks or long-distance links, capable of saturating multi-gigabit connections for extremely fast delivery. With built-in NAT traversal and encrypted relay fallback, it connects devices almost anywhere. The app integrates with the Sendme CLI and will soon support mobile and web platforms. Fully free and open-source, AltSendme offers a lightweight, privacy-first alternative to traditional cloud-based services, removing size limits, upload costs, and unnecessary data exposure. AltSendme 0.4.1 changelog: Release Highlights Self-hosted relays: Run your own iroh relay so transfers don't rely on public infrastructure. Includes a full deployment template in deploy/relay/ with Docker Compose for a VPS and configuration examples for production use. Fly.io support: One-click deploy template for Fly.io, including a quick-start config (fly.dev.toml) for testing without a custom domain, plus production setup with Let's Encrypt and your own hostname. Relay settings UI: New Settings → Network panel to choose how AltSendme connects: automatic public relays, custom self-hosted URLs (with optional auth token), or disabled. Test connections, verify latency, and see live relay status in the footer. Disable relays: Turn off relay servers entirely when you only need same-network transfers (e.g. LAN). Direct connections only. No relay hop required when devices can reach each other. Android graduates from beta: Android is now part of the regular release cycle alongside desktop. APKs ship with each version (universal, arm64, and armv7). Other improvements Private relay access control via shared auth token Relay fallback notifications when a custom relay is unreachable Broadcast mode toggle in sharing settings Android release build fixes (split-per-ABI APKs, universal APK preservation) UI polish: mobile safe-area insets, dropzone layout, transfer progress animation Bug fixes for minification-related serialization issues and system tray icon loading What's Changed feat(relay): add relay status functionality and settings UI (a120cdf) feat(relay): implement custom relay server configuration and verification (51276c7) feat(relay): add configuration for private relay access and enhance observability features (48fbabf) feat(relay): enhance relay URL validation, display connection status (d4fffa0) feat(relay): add RelayChangeGuard component and enhance relay-related translations (16ba514) feat(broadcast): add toggle setting for broadcast mode in sharing UI (ca6d977) fix(relay): correct QUIC discovery port, pin image, templatize fly.dev (52a2ba5) fix: More broken serialization due to minification (67491a9) fix(android): preserve true universal APK across per-ABI builds (e9f256f) fix(ui): conditional safe-area insets padding on mobile (1182f0e) refactor(transfer): CircularRing component animation fix (944572b) chore(android): drop x86 and x86_64 release APKs, keep universal+arm64+armv7 (34ada0b) AltSendme 0.4.2 release highlight: Modern Debian & Ubuntu support. The .deb package now declares compatible dependency alternatives (libayatana-appindicator3-1, libgtk-3-0t64) alongside the older Ubuntu 22.04 names, so it installs cleanly on Debian and Ubuntu 24.04+.
