NeoWin Windows, a Web site for computer enthusiasts, also reported the MSN (MSFT: news, chart, profile) client would display pictures in messages and that users would be able to configure their IM client so they could appear to be offline even while logged on.

Like Yahoo! Messenger, where you can be offline to some people on your contact list, and online to others? That would be a welcome addition.

Bah msn and hotmail is just going down the dumps now.. Yahoo deserves a lot more members than they are getting.

Couldnt agree more.

Yahoo! Messenger has being way ahead for 4-5 years. Only in the last year MSN has finally started to catch up.

You call that catching up? Look at AOL's AIM. That instant messaging client is light years behind.
