Another reason to upgrade to SP2

Recommended Posts

It's been shown where you could mimick the chrome interface of Fx too. I forgot a link, but it looked like a normal browser window except for the fact it wasn't.

I have to agree, give it time the hackers will find Firefox.

Right now it's more fun to mess with IE. When Firefox

becomes more wide spread, it will become more attractive

to script kiddies and such.

Right clicking or holding left shows the correct URL, I'd hardly call this a major threat. As was pointed out on the front page this can be mimicked with simple Javascript.

Perhaps some of the people who consider the Firefox & SP2 bandwagon as 'fads' will be more tempted to use them.

If you cant get SP2 to work on your machine, you've done something wrong at your end, because the Service Pack runs and installs fine.

what about non XP users

win98, win2k users and the rest are they safe? if not MS should release a fix for this since not everyone uses XP

Yes because:

You can't skin IE

IE is intergrated

IE is slow

IE is primitive

IE still has plenty of holes

IE doesn't have the great extensnios

ActiveX is evil

IE is also ugly

That is all I have to say about that. Opera and any Firefox/Mozilla and many other browser support this.
