well im adding the june updates as we speak.

tommorrow i'll have another shot on my test machine with this new set and see if the errors still occur (one of the contributing modules has been replaced with a june update).

if theres no errors i'll probably see about releasing it asap, nevermind the rollup, ill sort that out when it comes.

if i still see errors i'll continue to wait for it.

GREAT NEWS!!

one of the june updates replaced a module that contributed to the errors, im now getting no errors whatsoever.

ive decided to release it imediately rather than waiting for the rollup, i figured youve all waited long enough :)

I have the packages sitting on my computer right now, i just need some mirrors.

Anyone willing to mirror the 2K release, Please contact me now.

im also starting the translations pack sub-project, i also need mirrors for this.

the 2K release is just 8.5MB

i wont bother having the thread renamed, ill make a new one when theres enough mirrors.

ive pm'd all the current mirrors, ones already got back to me.

ill send them the files tomorrow, then direct other mirrors to them, then make the links public in the new thread when theres enough.

Currently we have tkam & deaper mirroring all three,

LittlBuger should also be hosting them, not sure if there up yet,

and M2Ys4U is setting up torrents...

im still hoping to get a couple more before i make it public...

Like many I have been waiting eagerly for Windows 2000 Autopatcher. It is out there, some people have downloaded it but there are no seeds :( Im happy to stay online and seed it for others, does anybody have any links for some active torrents?

well, i have three mirrors hosting everything, one torrent and another to come...

im not sure ill get any more, if i do ill add them

i think everyones waited long enough...im releaseing the thread :D

      Nothing is stopping you from continuing with your testing cadence. If updates are released every 2 weeks instead of 4, and you test once every 4 weeks, the exact same amount of patches will still be available for you in those 4 weeks. For example: Before 4th week - patch 1, 2, 3, 4 After 2nd week - patch 1 and 2 4th week - patch 3 and 4 Still the same amount after 4.

      Everyone else has said it. I'm gonna say it - you don't know what you're talking about. I do. I have two laptops. One work, one personal. I have access to two more laptops - both personal. At home I manually update my personal laptop when I see on Neowin that there is an update - I carry on and only apply the updates when I am ready. My work one only updates when my workplace decides to send it - I carry on and only apply the updates (when they actually arrive, which is usually days after the release) when I switch off the laptop at the end of the day as usual. The two other personal laptops only get updated when I get to it which is rarely - the people who own them carry on using them until I get to it and update them. All of the browsers on all laptops are configured to restore the tabs when launched. Google and Microsoft have changed from 6 weeks to 4, and it looks like it's going to move to 2. None of these changes affect how any of these browsers on the laptops are used. Not one jot. My advice to you is stop panicking whenever you see an update. Just carry on with what you're doing. This even benefits you in a way - from your comment you sound like you don't like the changes or the frivolous new features - great - then carry on as before!
