**** that was the funiest **** i heard in months.....

classic

Actually i played the leak with my old fx 5200 with 1280x1024 4x antialiasing and it ranned veryyyyy smooth....

584919271[/snapback]

is there any settings i should take down to change to make it run on my fx5200? like isnt there a command to make it work on dx8.1 ?

BTW, in CS:S I am getting an error saying "Map version is 0, expecting 19 !" every time I try to play. I am worried that this will affect HL2 as well. On the steampowered forumns another person posted the same thing and they told him to delete the local files for CS:S but I can't because it says that are needed for HL2 (which is already 100% preloadded). Any suggestions?

you suck, go buy a copy of Hl2. Besides i wish they can't come up with a crack. RELOADED never did with Counter-strike Source :p. Yay for that!!

I know that, I just wanted to get a little program that would allow me to play early.

And to let you know, I already got my copy from the Best Buy in the next town. :)

I would post pics but they are like all the others :)

Go to CSS' properties and tell it not to stay up to date. Close the dialouge and wait a few seconds for any network activity to die down. Then go back to the Properties and tell it to stay up to date. Steam ahould then sort itself out.

If that doesn't work you've got to go to your SteamApps folder and delete the larger of the CSS cache files.

Lol dumb arses with the fake Steam pics can't even do them properly :p It would be in "Just released" ;)

Er yeah.. chill out mate.. was just a bit of fun. Sorry if my hastily assembled gag wasn't quite 100% on the AnalRetention-o-meter!

Amen Vivendi are now probs about 70%+ hated throughout PC gamers, the very market they publish most for

And probably even more throughout the free software community over the whole BnetD mess...

Do you think my pc will take half life2?

I'd bet on it. You might need to make sure your drivers are up to date, but I think it shouldn't have any problems.

just got the Silver package over steam last night, played soem CS earlier, last tiem i played CS was back in the early builds HL1 days.

so far id have to say psudo impressed witht he engine, but CS was imported into Source.

and went to adjust the settings, and everythgin is on high, with exception of Anso/FSAA off. might turn them on later so see how it runs

dont know where to post this question as my steam forums account isnt active yet, but i already have HL-1/OpForce how can i unregester those keys and donate them to a friend that doesnt own them. since i got an extra copy of them with the silver package?

IF you look into they will unlock a key and you can apply to anothe account for ONLY 10.00! Look throught the FAQs on the steam site and you should find your answer

so in other words, i have a copy of HL, Op Force that are useless?

---- Post Above, i thought the FAQ's at teh steam site were for steam only and unrelated to HL keys, guess iw as wrong

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with ad blockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Samsung Browser'. It has very little bloat and is a nice-looking web browser with an inbuilt 'Ad blocker'. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. This browser can also install Chrome extensions. I have a system wide Ad blocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the web browser, but over the whole system. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt ad blocker because of that.
