What version of dircetX do you know? there is DirectX 9C is the lates one. Have you tried the game in direct x 8? You say you upgraded, what from? If its from a card by Nvidia then you need to remove the drivers and then install ati drivers. I forgot the name of the program to uninstall the nvidia drivers, driver cleaner, anyway thats assuming you had a nvidia card before you upgraded.

Hmm i dont know...your sustem should be capable of playing the game just fine, and have reasonablw water effects. My friend has normal looking water with his FX5200. Perhaps you can put your settings down a bit in the video options. I have a 6600gt and my settings are between med and high so dont expect to have full settings with you vid card. I think if you use directx 8 the water will look fine. At least its just water, not like every map has water :)

Mine is working. If you realy want a favorites server liat you can get All seeing eye which is a server browser for any game and you can make up a favorite list in there

BAAAAHHHH just finished playing HL2. Whats the deal in the end? I wanted to fight the gman!! I waited 5-6 years for this!! Good game overall the end was whack. now how many years do i have to wait for hl3?

I am confused about the ending too, like what does the g-man say/mean? It makes little sense in the end. Can some one clarify it for us?

      On the one hand, it shouldn't be difficult. You buy a computer, you decide what OS you want, which browser etc. Simple enough. But that's the techie side of things. My sister, my mother, wouldn't bother with such a thought. And I'm pretty sure that if you presented a window asking them what to pick they would say, "I don't care! I just want to access my Email!"
