LOL - this sucks. I've just taken 4 days off work. Maybe I should have added today aswell as I left for work 45 minutes before it was unlocked.

Now I have to wait all day before I can play the game as I don't think our net admins would appreciate me hogging the bandwidth on our net connection :(

Ah well, full day off tomorrow so I can stay up all night :-p

I am just wondering what will happen if i buy HL2 on steam. It will download the whole game and then I will be able to play? What if i format, will i have to redownload the whole thing?

Also, is it complicated buying HL2 on steam?

you now have the option to backup your downloaded games, so you can load them back in if you format without having to download. It's easy to buy HL2 off steam, you just need a credit card.

I'm thinking of buying the Limited (silver) Edition of HL2.

However, do you guys think that this game (without any adjustments to my system, coz I don't have the money) runs smoothly (system specs in sig)... or is my videocard the bottleneck and do you guys suggest to wait for either a new card or new PC?

half life source is also download.

can't wait to get going.

using a geforce fx 5600 amd hoping for the best.

if half life 2 plays pretty crappy i'll have fun with half life source until i get a new card.
