Well consider myself floored by the beauty of this game.

I just finished the canal sections and got to meet up with Eli and Alyx again.. and play fetch with Dog. I dunno if it was just that I had cranked my card up to 1280x1024 with 4x AA (and it COPED, WELL) and the environment just looked so goddamn spectacular, but I just stood there in awe whilst I threw the ball around that cavern. Echo'ing sound effects, Alyx laughing when Dog fetched the ball.. amazing.

Spectacular. Game of the year, hands down. HL2 is a masterpiece.

I know it's early, but I'm already stuck in half life 2.  I'm in the Route Kanal, in the place where it looks like you need to go through a tunnel with red lights.  The problem is I cant figure out how to reach the tunnel (it is too high).

ok so let me get this straight u buy a game package for 90 bucks online u finally wait houses after preloads (everyone should have by now who was going to buy it) then u wait a while for the varifacation of the game itself and what not ok thats fine, u have it ready to go, but what if ur internet goes down and what if steam itself goes down how the F can u play the game?

no, i think that valve WASN'T expecting this demand. if the servers weren't ready to handle the amounts of demands, why was it released? or why this stupid activation thingy??? it has already been cracked. i just want to login to steam to activate or whatever... not to download the full game. I have the dvd. this can be the best game ever, but the released date will never be forgotten, not only for the good reasons :no:.

I DON'T NEED TO GROW UP... it's the frustration :crazy:.
