What to be included besides bug fixes......A good guess might be Longhorn technologies, like Avalon and Indigo (of course these need .NET 2.0, so .NET 2.0 framework might also be included or as a prereq). So SP3 might not have any new feature / app (since those would appear in Longhorn) but it would enable LH apps to run on XP and take avantage of LH technologies.

You guys think I should probably update to SP2 before they start making an SP3? I'll stick with SP1 atm because I really dislike SP2 addon's (firewall and some security features), I'd rather stick with zone alarm and my personal security settings.

You know, they don't make you use them. They can easily be disabled.

i agree. i think sp3 will be released sometime in 2006, which is longhorn time. they've already said they're going to incorporate indigo and avalon into xp, and this is probably when they're going to do it.

They somewhat try and make you use them by saying your not secure and it keeps poppin up if you don't know how to disable the stupid thing.. lol
