which parts of the vs did you modify?  just the taskbar?  what color did you choose?

what version?  at least in the version i was familiar with, tclock2 only did a glassy transparency, not a complete transparency.

also, this tool does not run in memory, unlike tclock2.

what did you use for the command?

DON'T do this (if you did)

taskbartransparent.exe a=0 c=02FE14

or (i forgot which)

taskbartransparent.exe a=255 c=02FE14

one of the above sets the whole thing transparent... you just want this:

DO THIS:

taskbartransparent.exe c=02FE14

either that will work or nothing will happen (in my case), then you might have switched the values around.. so try this:

taskbartransparent.exe c=14FE02

Let us know how that works!

Update for me, I finally got what I wanted it to look like... and then i realized i missed the bar (go figure)... now i'm back to the normal taskbar hehe.

I have done a .BAT file and put it into the StartMenu > Start-up

Simple

CD %The Path of TaskBarTransparent.exe%
TaskBarTransparent.exe a=200 c=000000 s=200

And my setting is for a Black Background.

If you don't have StyleBuilder (not free)

Get ResHack, open your .MsStyle with it. Then go in the Bitmap folder.

And replace with a black version the Bitmap: [Name Of Color Scheme]_TASKBARBACKGROUND_BMP

And [Name Of Color Scheme]_TASKBARBACKGROUNDVERTICAL_BMP

It should work.

Hope it help.

Taskbar: no.

Start menu: yes. (but rather buggy with some skins, sometimes the 'captured' background doesn't redraw properly)

When I set it to partially transparent, the whole thing goes transparent.... I need JUST the background transparent, not the buttons or the start button

what are your settings? i gave instructions on how to set it so that the taskbar disappears (as in kmd's screenshot).
