Messenger concept

Do not post here with just negative comments, at least tell me how i can improve it constructively and i will, if i can.

As soon as the exclusive concept art of the new MSN Wave-11 was posted on front page, I knew that i had to look, once i saw it, i was mixed between "EEW BLOAT!" and "OH MY GOD, WONDERFUL"

This is because, the actual MSN program seemed bloated, but they had a nice UI.

So, I decided to quickly put together a little mockup of MSN 8, but not with all the bloat, its like MSN7, with a new look.

Here it is:

Latest version (07-December-2004, 22:07 GMT)

Credits are on the image.

This took roughly an hour but that mostly involved me listening to music mindlessly,

Alot of the graphics, like the butterfly in top corner and background are actually vectored by me by hand.

im guessing that the grey border is part of the actual app right? If so, im always a fan of rounded corners on windows. other than that, i like it!

Wow. Nice design GHL. Is it photoshopped or did you start coding it already? Also, A suggestion from me:

Xen, i put the banner there for realism, we will never be fully gone of those crap banners, but if i do code it, i might leave it out (may need to leave it in tho)

no the grey isnt part of it, so yeah there are rounded edges, look at the top:)

Too bad though that MSN Messenger seems to get more and more bloated.

My guess is that MSN8 will look something like this:

GHL, excellent msn concept as always.

Sugguestion: add mini dps in the main contact list window, not very large but small enough to be noticable but also convienient.

if anyone wants to code a skin or something, i can help for the gfx, i mean any skin (if its a nice concept), not just this.

i will probably be doing a few more, but not untill friday at least.
