Messenger concept

Question

Shetland    5

Do not post here with just negative comments, at least tell me how i can improve it constructively and i will, if i can.

As soon as the exclusive concept art of the new MSN Wave-11 was posted on front page, I knew that i had to look, once i saw it, i was mixed between "EEW BLOAT!" and "OH MY GOD, WONDERFUL"

This is because, the actual MSN program seemed bloated, but they had a nice UI.

So, I decided to quickly put together a little mockup of MSN 8, but not with all the bloat, its like MSN7, with a new look.

Here it is:

Latest version (07-December-2004, 22:07 GMT)

MSN-Messenger-8-v3-r1-both.gif

Credits are on the image.

This took roughly an hour but that mostly involved me listening to music mindlessly,

Alot of the graphics, like the butterfly in top corner and background are actually vectored by me by hand.

note to a friend: paulsachang, rofl. pandas r us. thanks for the comments on it when i was making it, also varsity, thanks for the comments on it too:)

I can't seem to be able to post it, says it's too big. So i'll give you a link to it.

Origional - The original I got from Mess.be before they took it down.

Touched up - Fixed it up, and took out the logo, and changed the hidious background.

-Peace

Going by the look of the Msn window, Im guessing there probly gonna try and release it with Longhorn, since it resembles the longhorn theme.

Talk to him and create it together, if its possible..

Just a suggestion.

i created the butterfly myself by hand.

and i know i cant call it messenger 8, that was the concepts, its not developed further into GMessenger.

and no i am not giving out my butterfly, well only in special cases where i see it will be used well, its nice and high resolution, like 4000x4000

from other thread:

bah you know what, i didnt give this out because mx asked me not to, and it turned bad, oh well. in future i know what to do. sorry for being an ass t you all,

he specifically told me not to, i guess i wont be taking his advice next:/

btw no bubble has been burst, the project is still on if anyone wants to join forces.

and btw, the actual aim of the project was for an open-source moddable msn compatable client, so it all would have got out anyway.
