The theory is nice, but there will always be people who abuse it, for example creating a thread IN ALL CAPS!!!11 to attract attention and then editing it before they get in trouble.

you could disable all the caps but i remember there was a bug with that. you could put a time limit on thread title editing.

There are many reasons I disagree with it, that is just one of them. If you want your title changed, just PM/IM/E-mail a mod that's online. We can all do it. :yes:

i'm confused... there was a post on jokes and funny stuff about a guy that made a thread..and wasn't getting any hits... so he said he renamed it to something including Sexy" and he got like alot of hits really fast.... I thought he was taking about this forum.

i agree with this topic... but i also agree with the admins choice about this. they have there reasons.. and dont wanna be tempered with.... it's better to be in control then have people abuse the control there already given ;)

Are we talking about forums with 300 members and 500 posts a day, or are we talking about the Clay Aiken fan club forum? I'm also a member on a larger forum than Neowin, and there's no way you can edit a thread title.
