Why limit search for three letters, I hate that stupid error page. I ended up using Google in site search.

I assume you're talking about the search on the forums? It's a software limitation. Too many small words makes searching exponentially slower. If you want small words, just use google, as you've stated.

I've got to get our MySQL server updated to 4.1 and rebuild the fulltext index, now that I think of it...

Usually the three letter word pre or proceeds something else, like 'writer' or '[timko]'s collection of pron'.

It can be a little frustrating sometimes, but I would hardly call an inherent IPB flaw (or feature ) Neowins fault.

So shaddap.
