How much bandwidth neowin uses?

Recommended Posts

Home computer on basic DSL 24/7 with minor reboots once a week

Work computer 20-40 hours a week on T3 Line

Laptop on wireless connection while at work (Also 20-40 hours a week)

Um ... I do not want to even try to computer the bandwidth that I use...

It is mind boggling

When I am at my home machine or at my laptop I am on this site.

Crazy numbers... wow

Well I'm sure thankful we all have a place like this... thank god Neowin didn't fold up shop back in the days of the constant DDOS attacks. The numbers make it what it is... the number of users and the ability to host it all... Very powerful place, neowin.

How come there is no paypal link on the main page, for users to donate... With the amount of hits, im sure it will generate some income?

Or was this talked about earlier and decided it was not a good idea?

I personally am glad that the site hasn't evolved into a site where you need to pay subscription fees to be able to search or use certain features... It allows it to grow and become better and better...

I would be willing to donate... considering how much i use neowin. How could i not?

There is a donate button located here - https://www.neowin.net/aboutus.php

I think they chose not to push the donate button down people's throats since they currently use advertising to fit the bill for neowin.

#9 - No spamming. Spamming is characterized by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: empty bodies, bodies with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are spam, either to annoy, advertise or increase a member's post count. Resurrecting old forum posts is also not appreciated unless it serves a worthy cause to the forum. This determination is made by the forum Moderator or Administrator and is not up for discussion.
