coming into this thread always crushes my hopes... my next computer will be a mac, but that will probably only be around christmas 2005, i've gotta wait a year :( but i'm willing to drop a couple grand for a nice powerbook

that is the original; the one with the border is from deviantart. some dude made a wallpaper of it and removed the border...

Just got in my Radeon 7000 to replace the ancient video card in my Blue & White. Just thought I'd try out the max res that my monitor would handle (the monitor is a Dell P991 that I got for free when my school was getting new ones!). Here's my desktop at 2048x1280. Unfortunately, it only does this at 60Hz, so I'm going to change it to something lower when I reload the system in a little bit.

not trying to flame, but what is sexy about that? it looks like a normal mac desktop (and they're all sexy :p) ... i think some of you should get off Dazzla's nuts  :pinch:

Yeah I almost posted the same thing. Except for those three Minium icons there's nothing special about it. It's just Aqua :huh:

The P991 can do that resolution? :o

For the life of me I cannot figure out to show how much disk space is free under the icons on the desktop in OS X, can someone help me out?  A bunch of the desktops have that one here.

cmd + j on the desktop and select "show item info"......
