Digitalfox
The Business Software Alliance, an industry watchdog group which combats software piracy, has caused popular Austrian warez site warez.at to be shut down. "The site was a major hub in the European pirate community, and it's take-down has caused a huge impact," said the vice president for BSA's European branch. Warez.at was a major distribution site for pirated software and porn, redirecting visitors to sites across Europe where they could find illegal copies of files. The BSA says they shut down 1,800 such sites last year, and are investigating 6,000 more.
