I voted YES and I ordered mine last Sunday.

Here in the UK the expected ship status is always changing...

1-2 Weeks

3-4 Weeks

Ah well thats the Mac Mini for you.

I went for the 1.42, 80GB, 1GB, Superdrive and the wireless thingy. It don't half' go up in price :(

i ended up speding around $1500 on my mac mini, i bought a new 17" monitor, a new wireless keyboard/mouse and a new set of speakers

now some people might wonder why i didnt just go for an imac 17".....well the cheapest (with 512mb of ram) came to around $2000 after tax and i dont have a seperate monitor. what i might do though is see how i like osx and maybe if i really like it i'll sell my mac mini to my parents and buy a dual g5

(all prices are in CND)

Damn, after seeing those piccies, I've gotta say..... I WANT ONE!!

Damn you Steve Jobs! Damn you! Why does your company have to come up with computers that are so desirable?

No WAY!!!!! i'm gonna stick with my new iMac G5 17 inch... im loving it.. its powerful and simply small... and wy to buy and apple monitor to connect the mac mini if i can buy a iMac and get all-in-one :p!

because not everyone wants a monitor stuck into a computer, i like to have my monitor SEPERATE from my computer. it also makes it much easier to bring somewhere.

How is it easier to bring a monitor + mac mini than just a iMac g5?

w00t!

Bought my Mac Mini off eBay from the USA! cost me ?345 shipped for the standard 1.42GHz spec one:DD

Ya know, Students in the UK with an appropriate NUS card can get the same model for only slightly more at --> ?359.55

Only approx ?15 difference but you get more peace of mind since you're dealing directly with apple and not a seller on eB:) :)

Anyway, anyone else from the London area of the UK been down to Regents Street over the weekend? I just wanna know if the new Apple Store ( http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/regentstreet/ ) that opened last Nov had any in stock yet. If they do then I might get on the train sometime this week and pick me one :) :)

here's my complete mac mini setup (alongside my dell):

ur setup looks great but i would suggest putting the OS on the firewire drive instead of the internal drive, it will be much faster :p

yeah, i did install OSX on the firewire drive, but i'm still torn about whether to use it that way. seems like it would be annoying to make sure the external drive is on every single time i use the mini. and then when i put it to sleep, i gotta turn the drive off...and then make sure it's on before waking.

I'm undecided...

I have this pc, and I have a mac (though ym mam has taken over that) but this looks mighty nice, and if its really quiet..oh my...sold nearly.

What about the rest of you?

Andd WHY DID THEY RIP OFF THE UK AGAIN AGHHHHHHHH

Thats what mine says, but I rang them up and told them about it as I figured it was the enhanced warrenty thing. They said it should ship on the 28th Jan. I'll be ringing them then to find out :) Can't wait till March! No way man, no way!

I just put my order on the apple.ca site. I'm getting it in 3-4 weeks.... :(

Mac mini 1.42GHz

512Mb

80GB

AirPort Extreme

8X SuperDrive

Wired keyboard & mouse

I'm going to plug it on the VGA input of my NEC LCD 1920NX, in full 1280x1024 res.

So now I must wait....

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
    • Doesn’t surprise me at all. God is light & He gave us life so it sounds almost logical that we would therefore emit a certain amount of light.
    • This is what I want. Hey Gemini, how do I remove you from all my google products permanently?
    • I would never install install this build before rtm process. only 3 months to go. never install on your daily devices. just wait 3 months.
